Some files from this past spring on my tiny digital camera 💾 had this camera since I was about 10 years old!!! .📝. Funny story: when I was last in Houston, I brought this camera to the RHCP concert, and they were VEHEMENTLY against bringing any cameras in 😓 (phone is a camera too tho so idgi). Not knowing what to do and having nowhere to put this camera, I figured it may have been the end of line for it 🫤 In a desperation move, I buried it in a planter across from the Astros stadium, seen by MANY, digging in this planter like a crazy person. Thinking it certainly had to be gone when leaving the concert, I checked the planter and it was STILL THERE!!! 🥹😩🙌🏻 My hands & camera covered in dirt, I took a selfie w/ Josh and Matt (as seen on the 3rd slide) in celebration of this camera still being by my side after 20 years lmao!!!!!!

Honoring my father on this 🇺🇸 Veteran’s Day. 🇺🇸 Chaplain (Colonel) Ralph L. Smith Earlier this year on the Friday of Memorial Day 🇺🇸 weekend, I lost my father. At 91 years and 5 months, he was still a force up until the last few weeks. Daddy was a U.S. Army infantryman and paratrooper in the Korean War who fought against two Chinese battalions at Outpost Harry. After the War he became an Army Ranger and later a “call from God” led him into to ministry. He earned a second master’s degree in theology at SMU (the first was in education at University of Arizona) and became a United Methodist pastor. He spent the last two decades of his Army service as a military chaplain in the Reserves. My father taught me to be a true patriot, a good citizen, to respect the law and follow the rules. My love of politics comes from my father. Ranger Ralph was a TRUE hero, and I miss him every day.
