A little eye update! Back in May, I took the plunge and had LASIK laser eye surgery on my right eye with Mr Julian Stevens and honestly, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made! Yesterday I had my four-month check-up and I’m so happy to report that everything is looking fantastic. My vision is still better than 20/20, which is just incredible! It’s amazing what a difference something like this can make to everyday life, and I still find myself appreciating just how clearly I can see. A huge thank you to the amazing Julian Stevens, whose expertise and care have been exceptional from start to finish. I really couldn’t be happier with the results. One of my besties has since had two new lens fitted with Mr Stevens as is thrilled with her results too and Mr D is going in for the same! If you’ve been considering laser eye surgery, I can honestly say my experience has been nothing but positive. So pleased I finally did it! For a small, independent British brand, this is a moment worth celebrating properly. Shani brings more than 20 years of phenomenal fashion experience to ISSY, which she launched in 2021 and named after her daughter. She has an exceptional eye and an instinctive understanding of knowing exactly what pieces will make a woman feel fabulous. Over the past four months, it’s been an absolute pleasure working with her on the brand’s next chapter. From bringing the world of the ISSY WOMAN to life to developing the 2027 Commercial Marketing Plan and some incredible new creative social content campaigns, our work has centred on helping more women discover, desire and fall in love with what she’s building. And there is another woman to celebrate in these photographs. Model and mum @erin_borini - the face of the Autumn Winter 26 campaign, has written movingly in her Instagram post today about returning to modelling after moving between countries, undergoing IVF cycles and having children. She talks openly about how work had slowed down in her early thirties. Now, she describes feeling more comfortable in herself and better than ever, and today she finds herself on the front of The Times. How incredible is that! A founder creating a brilliant brand of her own. A model returning to the work she loves. Two women bringing their experience, ambition and individuality to a rather wonderful moment. And then came the food… 🥢 To start: 🍤 Dynamite Shrimp 🥢 Bang Bang Chicken 🌶️ Crispy Shredded Beef 🍖 Char Siu Ribs And that was just the beginning! 🍽️ For mains, we tucked into: ✨ Soy Ginger Salmon 🥩 Beijing Beef Curry 🍛 Chicken Curry 🥬 Stir-Fried Vegetables All packed with flavour, and plenty to share around the table… And yes, we still managed to find room for dessert! A full belly, a happy heart and a fabulous Friday night in Glasgow!
