Happy June𖡼.𖤣𖥧🌈 With June comes Pride Month!!! Rooted in love, labor, learning, and loyalty, we are dedicated to supporting, celebrating, and advocating for an environment where everyone can be unapologetically themselves. Gamma Phi Beta stands proudly with the LGBTQIA+ community, not just in the month of June, but every single day.

Our BEDI (Belonging, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Chair, Nora Thorne, shares a little bit about what Pride means to her and this chapter🩷

“Hey everyone! I’m Nora, Gamma Phi Beta’s BEDI Chairwoman, and I wanted to take a moment to share what Pride Month means to me, and to us as a sisterhood!! Today and everyday we extend our support and celebration far beyond our chapter walls, recognizing that the fight for inclusivity happens every day of the year. As we uplift our members today, we also look back with gratitude at the activists and pioneers who shaped this movement. We are proud to stand with, listen to, and celebrate our LGBTQIA+ sisters, friends, and families! In a world that can make it difficult to proudly be yourself, I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of a beautiful sisterhood that actively affirms each member’s identity, that not only believes, but shows every day, that everyone has the human right to be unapologetically themselves.
To me, Pride is about so much more than a month long celebration. It’s about honoring the courage it takes to be yourself in a world that doesn’t always make that easy. That’s why our chapter dedicates the month of June—and the 11 other months in the year—to extending our support, celebration, and awareness both within and beyond our university. To our LGBTQIA+ sisters, family, and friends: we see you, we love you, and we’re so proud to stand with you always🫶” @norasthorne
