life recently 1/2

pictured: a few more runs on the chilkoot trail—including on the day of my 1/4 of a century anniversary, backpacking chuck creek to samuel glacier in style (with house of the dragon and mirror mirror downloaded on my ipad, obviously), kayak chaos incarnate at chilkoot lake, mountaineering shenanigans on west nadahini glacier and wolf peak

to all these people and all these places, you have my heart 🤍

I haven’t posted since 2019 so here is an update that covers (some) of the last 7 years of my life.

Life Update 1.1/3: Work

I have spent the last 9 years working in my career in tourism. And it has been AMAZING. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities I have worked to take. Not only does my work involve doing incredible things in amazing places, but also affords me the time to spend with people that I love.

Most importantly, it has helped me meet many people who I love, admire, and miss greatly. The most rewarding part of the career that I have chosen is to watch guests and my coworkers have unforgettable experiences that grow them as people.

I love what I do, and I love the life it helps me lead.

It felt like a dream that season. Complicated. One of twists and turns, low and several high tides. I know it’s not over yet, but it’ll burn through my memories and a piece of me will stay here once I’m gone. In a place out of time, filled with people either running from something or running to something. Until next time, whenever and wherever that time may be.
