Iowa State Alum 💛❤️

Bittersweet is the only word that really describes the last 4 years. Moving away from home and to another state for college was harder than I ever expected. It feels like just yesterday I was 18, getting dropped off somewhere where I knew no one. I sat in my mom’s trunk crying and begging her to bring me back home. She told me I would figure it out and that everything would be fine. I didn’t believe her at the time, but she was right.

260 miles doesn’t sound very far, but there were definitely days it felt like thousands. So many weekends spending 9hrs on the road just to be home for a day or two. So many times I wanted to quit, felt overwhelmed, and questioned if I could actually do it. But somewhere in all of that, I met people who made Iowa feel a little more like home, and made so many memories that I’ll forever be grateful for.

A chapter that flew by so fast. So many seasons of change, growth, and memories. Thank you @isuintd for shaping me into the designer I am today, my friends and family who supported me along the way, but most of all I thank my creator and the Lord of my life, without him none of this would've been possible!

Welcome to Haugen Innovation CTE Middle School! A middle school add on inspired by mountain trails. Through topography, organic shapes, and our concept colors, you capture the true essence of Haugen Innovation. It includes hand on learning to allow student to discover and reach their next summit. With spaces like makerspace, culinary lab, health science lab, sewing studio, and computer lab!

How funny that our company word of the year shows up in my chat with the young minds of Iowa State University's Interior design students. Relentless. It's not an easy word to pull off, but it is clear and simple to interpret. It's what it takes to build a life with excellence, care, and compassion. It's what it takes to chase a dream, bring others along to chase theirs, and it will be worth it, even on the hard days. ⁠
