Yes it’s late but I’ve been putting this off and I need to finally post my Rent farewell. 🫶🏻

I got to see a touring production of Rent back in 2017 in St. Louis and ever since then it’s been on my bucket list of shows I’d love to be a part of. When I was cast I was OVER THE MOON (hehe see what I did there) to be cast as a dancer AND a soloist in Seasons of Love. When I realized that “soloist 3” meant that I got to do my FAVORITE solo in one of the most iconic musical theatre songs I truly couldn’t believe it.
This show is HEAVY but I couldn’t have asked for a better cast of people to be surrounded by. The love I felt from them every single night when they’d ALL come up to me to tell me about all of the reactions they saw to my solo will stick with me and I’ll cherish it all forever.
Really all I can say is ‘thank you.’
To @disfaybled and the rest of the production team for casting me in such a beautiful show,
To @taylorpannett for believing in me, WANTING me as a dancer, and for creating the MOST FUN choreography,
To @_owenware_ & @thecoolerware for doing another show with me and making it INCREDIBLE,
To everyone in the AlphaBIT City dressing room (as well as everyone who passed through it) for such a welcome and loving space,
To @coriwithac for being a WONDERFUL friend when I so desperately needed one,
To all of my fellow cast members who stayed out until the LATE hours of the night just talking and hanging out,
And to every single person who came to support me in this show.

As many know, life seems to just keep happening TO me and doing Rent with such amazing people really helped me get through my car accident and helped keep me in good spirits as much as I could be.

Anyway, that’s enough being sappy for now but just know that Rent is an experience I’ll never forget. ✨❤️

RENT!!!

i don’t think i can truly articulate how special being part of this show is to me. not to parrot a few people in our cast and crew, but i was obsessed with rent as i started getting interested in musicals when i was younger. i can’t tell you how many times a week i watched the proshot of take me or leave me and just thought about how much i would love to sing that song on stage. getting to actually do that the past three weekends, in a role i have wanted to play for over a decade, has been so surreal.

to the cast, i love y’all. you are all so so so talented and hardworking. it has been an honor and a privilege to share the stage with all of you. i hope we all get to cross paths and do more together very soon!

to the crew, thank you for all your work!!! y’all made us look and sound so good!

to the production team: heather, sami, kylee, taylor, and ashley - thank you thank you thank you for believing in me and allowing me to play joanne (and blanket person, that was fun as heck). i will treasure this forever and ever.

the last thing i have to say is this: i hope i never EVER have to try and answer three phone calls at once. 📞

So proud of our BFA Acting majors involved in Pegasus PlayLab’s Between Shadows and Lightness 🌟🎭 Between Shadows and Lightness is a devised theatre project that brings together artists with and without disabilities to explore mental health through personal stories, visual art, and collaborative performance. Congratulations to Naje’ Gillespie and Jonathan Sommervil on helping bring this meaningful new work to life as part of this year’s festival! Break legs this weekend! 💙✨

Extremely late but I wanted to post some of my favorite pictures from APO's production of YEAST NATION: THE TRIUMPH OF LIFE🦠

I was so glad to get to work on this show as my last little chapter at UCF and with APO. I had the pleasure of serving on the executive board for the past 2 years and I am so proud of the growth we were able to achieve during that time.💙💛

As for the show itself, I was thrilled to be surrounded by such wonderful people at the bottom of the sea, making memories that I will cherish even as I depart Central Florida. I couldn't be more proud of the product we put out there and I wanted to give a shoutout to all the wonderful cast and crew of this production!

I am so elated that this is the legacy that I will leave behind here, and I cannot wait to see what happens next. The world won't wait!🌎

"Hear the song of the beginning of time..."

This Spring, APO Chi Xi had the pleasure of putting on its First-ever musical: YEAST NATION: The Triumph of Life🦠

This concert version of the Off-Broadway work of Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis took audiences on a wild ride through the fuedal systems of the primordial sea.

Directed by APO Vice President Elliott Horwitz, and assistant directed by APO President trainee Mallory Persons, this wild undersea adventure will not be forgotten soon!

We would like to thank our wonderful audiences for weekend-long run, and we encourage you to come see more student-driven theatre in the future!

For now, make sure to seize the day, because THE WORLD WONT WAIT! And make sure to follow along with us as we switch into Summer and prepare for another excellent school year!💙💛
