Another film festival official selection for my experimental short film “lover//girl.” Thank you to The Golden Mountain Film Festival! It will screen in Portugal.

lover//girl is a compilation of two music albums I wrote, produced, recorded, & performed last year under my two music artist names: Mo Milan (indie folk/cinematic) & @cocoapastelmusic (synth-pop, dream wave, darkwave). For the film, all the visuals are also shot, selected, & edited by me, with the exception of the “Remind Me” music video, directed by @shahabzargari

It’s nearing the end of its festival run and will be available for everyone to see shortly! :)

I’m just grateful & hopeful. Thank you to everyone involved, especially the “Remind Me” music video crew which is featured within lover//girl!

Walking for @bintumaniboutique was truly an honor.

Their designs beautifully celebrate the elegance, culture, and craftsmanship of Ghana, and I was grateful for the opportunity to represent such an incredible vision on the runway.

One of the evening’s greatest highlights was meeting and speaking with Aaron Ford as he begins his campaign for Governor of Nevada. I’m thankful for opportunities that bring together art, culture, leadership, and community.

Thank you, @bintumaniboutique, for trusting me to showcase your vision. Here’s to the people who use their gifts to inspire others.

🌿 SOCIAL MEDIA FAST • DAY 1

August 1 – August 8

Today begins my 7-day Social Media Fast.

This week I’m stepping away from the noise to intentionally practice THE SEVEN PILLARS OF PRESENCE™

✨ Stillness & Intention
✨ Rest & Sleep
✨ Movement, Exercise & Strength
✨ Nourishment, Joy & Play
✨ Growth & Confidence
✨ Creativity & Purpose
✨ Reflection & Renewal

🌱 Pillar One: Stillness & Intention

Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do isn’t create more…

It’s to become still.

When we quiet the noise around us, we finally create space to hear ourselves again. My hope is to return on August 8th with greater clarity, deeper gratitude, and renewed purpose.

Today’s Presence Practice:
💧 Drink one extra glass of water today.
📵 Set aside 10 uninterrupted minutes without your phone, music, or notifications.

Simply breathe… and ask yourself:

“What has been making the most noise in my life?”

I’ll be living these seven pillars right alongside you. Thank you for being part of the journey.

Until then…

Created to Create. 🎨💛

“Shades of Us” written and directed by @cj.murr, is a comedy-drama series set in Las Vegas that follows Marcus and his close group of friends as they navigate careers, relationships, friendships, and the ups and downs of life in their thirties. While everyone is trying to figure out their next move, they are also dealing with questions of identity, belonging, and what success really means.
Blending humor, awkward moments, and honest conversations, the series takes a relatable look at modern adulthood through the Black experience. As Marcus and his friends meet people from different backgrounds and perspectives, they’re challenged to rethink their assumptions, embrace who they are, and find their place in a world that doesn’t always fit neatly into labels.
At its core, Shades of Us is about friendship, growth, and the messy process of becoming comfortable in your own skin.
