To my forever angel, I type this with tears in my eyes but a smile, because I know how proud you would be of me. You were there for every graduation I ever had.. Kindergarten, Middle School and High School, but the one graduation you were never able to see from any of your kids was a college graduation. You knew I was always going to be the kid to do it, to see it through all the way. Laying you to rest 25 days before I moved to start a brand new journey, my heart will always hurt for the things you weren’t here to see; moving me into my dorm, track meets, crossing, Presidents & Deans List, all accomplishments I know you would brag about because you bragged about everything I did😭. You have been my driving and motivating force since Day 1. The reason I go so hard and never take no for an answer. Your spirit has never left my side and you have been with me every step of the way. As much as graduation will be joyful, I’ll mourn not hearing your voice shouting “That’s my baby girl” when my name is called. Although you won’t be here physically, you’ll see me walk the stage from above and achieve a goal you always wanted for your kids. We did it. Not one, but two degrees.
