With this week’s episode we brought on our friend “Gentleman” Jack Grisham, singer and founder of True Sounds of Liberty(T.S.O.L.) as our guest. Southern California was the wild west of punk rock and violence in the 80’s and Jack and his band were at the forefront of all the mayhem. Jack takes us back to the pit with some tails of terror about T.S.O.L. along with some stories from his various side projects which include breaking and entering, robberies and what happens when you dress up like a cop to see what you can do!

Today marks 6 years of a journey that has fundamentally reshaped my life. I still attend meetings, continue therapy, see a psychiatrist, and have the privilege to sponsor others on their paths. With each passing day, I learn that there's so much more to understand about staying sober than I initially thought.

Yet, I've learned to keep it simple: I don't drink or use, no matter what, and I've let the transformative power of the 12 steps work their magic in my life. Today, I'm free. And this freedom isn't merely the absence of physical bars—it's liberation from the shackles of self-bondage. I'm thankful for this journey and for the growth it has spurred within me. Here's to another day, another year, and to the continued journey of self-discovery and transformation.

In the last two weeks I’ve distributed over 400 kits of naloxone(narcan) or 800 doses primarily through shipping but some of it was to mutual aid groups and businesses that wanted to have it for their patrons.

Mind you this is all outside of my 9-5 job and it is all so incredibly worth it to provide and connect people to resources. This is more than I ever thought this would be and it absolutely blows my mind to be supporting folks at this capacity just off my savings and support from the community.

I love all of you and I can’t wait to see what this grows into. This has been a wild journey for a kid who never thought he would make it out alive from his small town in East Tennessee.
