Love and connection are the heart of our shared humanity.

I truly don't even know how to exist on this platform anymore, and I'm really struggling through that. What I thought was my voice feels surfaced, what I thought was my opinions feels meaningless, what I thought was my purpose feels fruitless... but what I learned on my 34th birthday as I ran around my community in a Lorax costume with my friends and my daughter, is that all that truly matters right now is showing anyone and everyone you encounter the love and light and laughter that you have to offer...

I thought maybe on some level people would look at us weird and think we were obnoxious... but boy was I wrong. This is what my community needed, and I didn't even know it. Hundreds of smiles, dozens of giggles, photos with strangers, and genuine connections were made that day.

I have been feeling so conflicted on how to make a difference in the world with my platform, but one thing I did know was I wasn't going be another creator using their voice in a way that starts a fight... I know it may seem important to tell people where you stand rn and find those who agree with you or don't, but at the end of the day, starting a fight between Rachel from Rhode Island and Karla in California isn't making the change you think it will... at its root, it's self-serving. I'm sorry if that stings... If you could get them face-to-face it might actually make the change you're hoping for, but that's only if what you're hoping for is actual change: real conversations & connection... our country is stuck in a rut, and honestly, your neighbor just needs to be hugged. Your local delivery driver just needs a crisp high five and to feel valued. The single mom bagging groceries just needs to be told she's doing a great job and that she looks really beautiful today.

I'm low-key sobbing as I write this, but I truly learned on this day that all we need to do is put our phones down and go outside and bring joy to our communities right now... and the best part is it's completely free 💕

So anyway... with that, I love you deeply. All of you.
