My inspiration for this short came from my spitefulness of Wing Chun practitioners who believed that Wing Chun was the ultimate fighting style. And that’s partly due to all the Ip Man movies. Full disclosure, I have no hate towards the Ip Man movies or Wing Chun. My problem stems from a personal experience where a Wing Chun senior student legit said to me it’s the best martial arts ever. As martial artists, especially instructors and masters, it’s our job to be honest. What are we practicing and why. Be it health, artistry, combat or mind cultivation. Be truthful to yourself so you can be truthful to others. #Wingchun #kungfu #ipman #yipman #antikungfu

“Did you feel loved and cherished today?” Was what I had been asked when the night came to a close yesterday for my birthday. June 10th.
Usually, I would find myself tussling with a bit of stress to pull something together.
Everyone here made that incredibly simple. There was no awkward interaction- everything felt….strangely perfect. Friends of mine who had never met each other before spoke and held great talks. Meeting online friends I have never even met before face to face- who came out to celebrate. Singing happy birthday that did not feel forced, but flowed naturally even in the midst of multiple intriguing conversations. This is perhaps the best birthday celebration I have had so far.
June 10th, 2026 will be a night I will remember.
Alongside that incredible Knicks win haha.
Indeed, I actually felt loved and cherished.
@jackiectran christening us the group “Power Rangers” due to our attire haha.

Cannot wait to see the rest of my friends who could not attend to celebrate together soon.
I am truly blessed.
(I promise you I am very happy in these pictures haha just exhausted at this point.)
