Homecoming is always special when we come together to recognize, celebrate, and honor Black Excellence!

It was an honor to celebrate six Outstanding Alumni Honorees and two Trailblazers with the Christiana Smith African American Alumni Chapter, including several friends, one of my mentors, Dr. DeWayne Bowie, and my fraternity brothers representing KOK Wings & Things.

Special thanks to our chapter and university leadership for their continued support and for recognizing the importance and impact of this meaningful program.

I’m truly honored to serve this organization and remain committed to making a lasting impact on our campus and in our community. There is something powerful about honoring those who paved the way while inspiring those who will follow.

Celebrating our legacy. Honoring our excellence. Inspiring our future.

The Christiana Smith African American Alumni Chapter proudly celebrates our two scholarship recipients, Alasca Wilson and Maiya Clark. Both students have excelled on campus and in the community while serving as outstanding representatives of our chapter. Their commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and service reflects the impact of investing in the next generation of leaders.

As alumni, we have the opportunity to make a lasting difference by giving back and supporting our chapter’s scholarships and initiatives. Every contribution helps create opportunities, empower students, and continue a legacy of excellence and service.

When we invest in our students, we invest in our future!

We encourage our alumni to join us in making a difference. Together, we can continue to open doors, support deserving students, and strengthen our legacy for generations to come.

Four states, one room, one shared commitment to learning what it means to lead with excellence.💕💚

The Undergraduate Leadership Institute did not disappoint.

Undergraduate members formed new connections and accepted the challenge to be R.E.A.L. Champions on and off their campuses.

As our regional director asked:

Are you ready to lead?
Are you ready to serve?
Are you ready to grow?

The whole room said yes!

This is the Sensational South Central Region.
This is the power of sisterhood.
This is what R.E.A.L. Champions look like.

Okay, now, Let’s get it!

21st Run Club of 2026 in the books. 🌿

Our Recovery Monday featured another nice peaceful walk through Moncus Park to the Meditation Garden. We stopped to reflect on what life we envision looks like. We talked about how we define success and what life experiences help guide those thoughts.

Thank you to everyone who came out and shared part of your journey. 💜

Join us at our next run on Saturday where we will be running miles to fuel minds! #TTPRunClub #lafayette #stayactive

This week, we had the opportunity to host our second NPHC New Member Social for all new initiatives of each NPHC fraternities and sororities and with the new initiatives of Sigma Gamma Lambda National Sorority, Inc (MGC). This social provided new members (Spring 2026, Fall 2025 or the last line of the chapter) to connect through interactive icebreakers, expectations of being a new member and how to keep the tradition of their org alive.

NPHC and MGC on our campus has grown tremendously! Stay tuned for Fall 2026! For any NPHC or MGC updates, make sure to follow the pages below!
