“when you walk into the dining hall you hear the sound of laughter

#camp #campcounselor #summercamp

these are the campers of the valley.

when camp first started there were no girls AND IT SUCKED

but then in the 1930s girls and boys had separate camps

BUT THAT STILL SUCKED

Throughout the 1950s the camps thrived.

these are known as the golden ages

in the 1970s, they combined the two camps to create the one we have today where everyone is welcomed.

from then on enrollment grew

and laughter filled this camp more than ever before.

so tonight we toast

to valley girls past

to valley girls present

to valley girls future

once a valley girl ….

ALWAYS a valley girl.”
