Huge congratulations to both of our brothers today! Brother Marcus McGhee graduated today with his MBA. While Brother Rock Slocum II graduated with his bachelors in Kinesiology. An great accomplishment towards them and we hope for y’all to keep achieving. ♦️ Congrats again good brothers! 😎👌🏾

This week has been a whirlwind! I don’t think I’ve had a chance to catch up from last week. Parenting ain’t for the faint of heart. There’s times I wondered “Are we doing this right?” But then there are those moments of confirmation that we are…one of those moments was this week! Congratulations @malachig319 and @_mal1kg ! You did it! I’m so proud of both of you! From micro premmies (weighing less than 2 pounds) in the NICU at Vanderbilt to graduates! Crying is not an emotion I express often but I remember balling my eyes out the night ya’ll were born. I was scared, anxious, all the above…I just didn’t want to mess it up (being a dad). I thank God for choosing me for the job; it’s being one of the greatest honors of my life! 🙏🏽 Malik is returning to Austin Peay in the Fall as a Junior (he graduated with his Associates from APSU earlier this month and became my brother crossing my chapter @thetabeta_nupes). He has aspirations to be a pediatrician. Malachi will continue his collegiate journey at Alabama A&M. He will transfer 24 college credits and will be a Merit Scholar. He has aspirations to be an attorney. Both received multiple scholarships that fully covers their tuition and fees and will allow them to attend their schools for free. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Thank you to all the family, friends, teachers, mentors, prayer warriors, etc. It truly took a whole community to reach this milestone. A very special thank you to my wife @brittenee.george. I could not imagine being on this journey of life and parenthood with anyone else. She is the glue to this whole thing and is hands down the most amazing mother ever. (Also planned and executed the twins graduation party…amazing job!) Malachi and Malik I’m excited for the next chapter in your lives…keep God first and we will be there every step of the way! Love ya’ll to the 🌙 and 🔙

LEGACY…LEGACY…LEGACY…Last night my son @_mal1kg (ΘΒ SPR 25, Ace Klub) became my brother! I crossed @thetabeta_nupes 20 years ago this Fall (ΘΒ FA 05, Tre Klub) and probated in the exact same place (Clement Auditorium). He’s also the youngest to come through our chapter. Thanks to all the good Nupes (esp my LBs), family members, and mentors that have poured into him along the way. I’m beyond proud of him and his LBs. I was also appointed advisor of my chapter earlier this year, so this is the first line I oversaw in this role. Also shoutout to @3ric.roberts and @jayloncgonzales for leading these young men on their journey. The chapter is in good hands…looking forward to all the achievements they will accomplish! #LLTB #SHNMWM #legacy
