Finally recovered from the most tiring but also the silliest shoot I've ever had. Big thanks to my team @liamrooney.ac @its.sofiasoto @daisywalliss @dji.ronan for making it all so easy, and a huge thanks to @jonathangnicol for bringing me on!

☀️ A glorious day to share the thrilling news that after a year of festivals and nearly two years since we started imagining, creating and embarking on this adventure, our little film ONE THING YOU CAN DO will finally be released and shared with you all later this year (manifesting it 🤞🏼). Trailer is on the works ✨. Here I leave you with some BTS pics by @lekancosta at the Millenium Bridge in London. 89 Seconds to Midnight One year ago, we decided to make this film. And now, as tyrants beyond the reach of law or institutions continue to tear the world apart, there could be no better moment to release it — the film is now available on YouTube via the link in bio On 28 January 2025, the hands of the Clock were moved forward to 89 seconds to midnight, closer than ever before. On 27 January 2026, the Bulletin moved the position of the Clock even closer. Now, it’s 85 seconds Excited to finally share the film’s poster created by the brilliant @danscombedesign Selected for the @bifa_film qualifying Oxford International Film Festival @oxiffofficial in the Experimental Films category Premiered at Curzon Soho in London during @bigfridgefilmfestival, taking home the Best Score award Told through a haunting blend of global voices, 89 Seconds to Midnight is a cinematic manifesto warning of humanity’s fragile future on its accelerating road to self-destruction Director-Cinematographer — Vasilii Mesropov 👀 Gaffer — @jsuivi_lighting 1st AC — @webbpaje 2nd AC — @its.sofiasoto 1st AD — @jen_aviv_ Researcher — Dmitrii Bonetskii Producers — @dhruvbtn, @hopkinson.suzy Production Manager — @nickorlov_filmproduction Production Designer — @404sunny_ Location Sound Recordist — @soundtylertappin India — Stuti Pandey Greece — @marios_koushappas Italy — @norandronaco China — @13airuiying USA — @lipinskijessfilm Turkey — @ezziepolat Ukraine — @alliefidelman Mexico — @its.sofiasoto Germany — @annika__ulrich UK — @sxmyyyy UK — @hopkinson.suzy Israel — @jen_aviv_ Russia: Vasilii Mesropov Sound Design — @simon.panayi.sound.design Music — @marcin.mazurek Colour — @adam.m.colour Special Thanks: @cameraworks_uk @greenkitlondon @harborpictureco_uk @crtv.uk @secretnuclearbunker

Fractured Frame has received its astonishing 7th BIFA-qualifying festival selection thanks to the true indie gems at @kinoshortfilm!! 🎉 We've also been awarded a Semi-Finalist position at BAFTA qualifying @flickers.riiff 🙏 🎟️ Tickets are on sale now, and this may well be your last chance to catch the film in London! 👀 📍30 August, 1pm 📍Art'otel, Hoxton We'll be screening alongside a programme of bold, brilliant and beautifully thrifty short films. ✨ Fun fact about the film, and the images you're seeing here: Believe it or not within its fever-dream 5 minutes, Fractured Frame actually has a mixed-format, multi-camera setup and a hybrid analogue-digital aesthetic. Alongside our main digital cinema camera, we also shot on 2 classic handheld camcorders that recorded straight to old-school cassette tapes! That footage then had to be digitised and colour graded to match the rest of the film, but the texture it brings adds something really special and ties directly into the film's themes. We also live-streamed the camcorder footage onto vintage CRT monitors, before filming those screens again with our main camera to create another distinctive, voyeuristic visual layer. If you've seen the film, you'll know there's also third camera type involved too, but we'll save that story for another time! It's one of our favourite aspects of this tiny indie short, and a reminder that creativity can come from making the most of the tools you already have. 🚀 Huge hats off to cinematographer @helenagonzalezdop, co-director @_simonlondon_ , colourist @vanessa_colour, editor Gianluca Truda and our location/tech supporters @richmond_film_photo for helping bring it all together. Let's go Kino!! 🖤🤍❤️

@ndrikaanyika here with my final post for the week before I handover to the talented @jenniferatchesondop This post includes a few sneak peeks from some films that are still in post production. Posting on @illuminatrix_rising_dops this week has been a lovely exercise in taking stock of what I’ve been up to and reminiscing about the chaotic and equally cathartic experiences that come with being a DoP. It has allowed me to look through my past and current work and has highlighted that not only am I drawn to work that challenges conformity and exposes negative societal norms but I cherish working with lovely people. I get the feeling that my career will be an eclectic catalogue of films that the manosphere will hate and I take great pride in that.  Finally, I often have young women, especially women of colour, express to me how they are not confident enough or technical enough to become a DoP, which usually leads to a 5-minute motivational speech from me 😅.   I believe my lived experience helps me to empathise with the eclectic characters in the scripts I read and also lends itself to the complexity and nuance required to foster a positive environment on set.  So, for the people who have not grown up in creative circles and for people who think cinematography is not for them, I can say whole heartedly that it very, absolutely, most definitely is.  Thanks for sticking around this week. You can find more of my work on ndrika.com. Don’t hesitate to reach out - contact@ndrika.com 😻 1. Bless You: Written and Directed by @aliquayson 2+3.
