POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A lot of women in entertainment get approached with messages that sound good at first.

“Let’s build.”

“Come work on this project with me.”

“I’m putting a team together.”

“Pull up to the studio.”

“Let’s shoot.”

“I can help you.”

“Come on my podcast.”

And sometimes it really is business.

But sometimes it’s somebody using ambition against you. They know you want to grow. They know you want better opportunities. They know you want to be in the right rooms. So they wrap bad intentions in words that sound like progress.

That’s why you can’t just listen to what somebody is saying.

You have to watch what they’re asking for.

Are they giving you real details?

Or are they just trying to get you alone?

A real opportunity should be easy to explain.

What is the project?

Who is involved?

What exactly do you want me to do?

Is this paid, trade, content, promo, or collaboration?

Where is it happening?

Who else will be there?

Why do you specifically want me involved?

If they can’t answer those questions clearly, that’s information.

A lot of people will sell women a dream with no structure behind it. They’ll say they’re “building something big,” but won’t explain what the business actually is. They’ll say they can “help your career,” but can’t show what they’ve done for anyone else. They’ll make it seem like you’re missing out if you ask too many questions.

But real business can handle questions.

Real professionals can explain themselves.

Real opportunities don’t require confusion.

Be careful with studio invites.

Not every studio invite is about music.

Sometimes “come hear some beats” turns into “come by yourself.”
Sometimes “let’s vibe” turns into pressure.
Sometimes “let’s work” turns into flirting, alcohol, isolation, and weird energy.
Sometimes the work never even starts because the real goal was access to you.

If you’re going to a studio, move smart.

Know the address before you go.
Know who will be there.
Bring somebody with you when possible.
Use your own ride.
Share your location.
Don’t let anybody pressure you to drink.
Don’t stay if the energy changes.

Your career is not worth ignoring your instincts.

A real session should feel professional
