Ragen and I took a 5 state, 1,300 mile road trip this week. The goal was to do all the things we’ve been talking about over the past few years (that we should do one day) and rope it all into a guys road trip. We toured the Barber Vintage Museum. We hiked almost a mile underground to a hidden lake and took a boat ride. Toured an exotic and Hollywood car museum in Gatlinburg . Drove to the peak of the Smokey Mountains and crossed the entire Newfound Gap into NC. Raced incredible electric race karts at the Mario Andretti track in Atlanta.

And the highlight of the trip was getting to drive the Tail of the Dragon that goes from TN to NC, 311 curves in only 11 miles. Watching my son chirp the tires on a mountains edge is probably the most uneasy I’ve ever felt in my life. But it was so amazing watching him locked in on probably the scariest drive of either of our lives….so far.

Cars & Coffee at the Lake Front was a great turnout. Perfect overcast weather with a nice breeze. Gonna miss my boy leaving in a couple weeks.

Today’s NOLA Cars and Coffee/Track day event at NOLA speedway. A buddy was racing his GT3RS and let Rage climb in and start it. Great day.
