POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last night, Jeremiah and I went to Lake Eola for the Water Lantern Festival to light a lantern in memory of Joe. 💜🕯️

When we arrived, we found out the lanterns were sold out. We were both heartbroken. I tried to cheer Jeremiah up by offering to get him some cotton candy, and while we stood in line, I was telling my best friend Sandy how disappointed and sad I was. As always, she was encouraging me, reminding me not to be sad and that now we would know for next year.

Then something happened that I’ll never forget.

The young lady standing in front of us turned around and handed me her grab bag with a lantern inside. 🥹

My eyes immediately filled with tears. I offered to pay her for it, but she refused. That’s when the tears really started flowing. She hugged me and told me not to cry. Jeremiah thanked her, and when I realized the woman with her was her mother, I made sure to tell her, “You did a wonderful job raising your daughter.”

To that beautiful young lady and her mother: thank you. Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and your selflessness. You gave up something you had so that a mother and her little boy could honor someone they love and miss more than words can explain.

And thank you for allowing God to use you to remind me of something I needed in that exact moment: I am not alone.

Even when my hope feels as small as a mustard seed, God has a way of sending someone to remind me, “I am still here. I see you.” 🙏🏾

Because of your kindness, Jeremiah and I were able to light our lantern for Joe. What may have seemed like a small gesture to you meant more to us than you could ever know.

May God bless you abundantly. May He return your kindness to you tenfold, and may He answer the prayers of your heart. ❤️#teamjosephblessed #waterlanternfestival2026 #lakeeola

There are still truly good people in this world. Last night, God allowed us to meet one of them. 🕯️💜

As a mother we have thousands of wishes for our daughters but it all boils down to that she builds a life that makes her TRULY HAPPY!
