✨ Welcome to Simple Retreat ✨ So glad you're here!!

As an occupational therapist and mum of 3, I designed these candles to help busy ladies slow down a little - because we all need the daily reminder right??

Made with quality ingredients and premium materials, these candles are my everyday cue to slow down - and they could be yours too.

🔗 Explore all fragrances, bundles and matching note cards at simpleretreat.org or via the Instagram store.

And for my business ladies? ⤵️
Wholesale and corporate gifting are available too. Just DM or email me at simpleretreatinfo@gmail.com💛

PS. The two amazingly talented women and artists that I collaborated with, are Ballarat based Susan Nethercote @susan.nethercote and Meryl McPherson @meryldmcpherson 🎨✨

Somewhere between a photo and a painting 🌿

@itsalletc took the 20% CineBloom filter out around Melbourne on a sunny spring morning, capturing the light through the trees, reflections on the water, and motion blur through the flowers.

“Through my work, I love capturing dreamy scenes that feel like they could be pulled straight from a movie. Full of warmth, atmosphere and nostalgia.”

The soft bloom and movement in these shots almost remind us of a Monet painting.

*PRESSING PAUSE* Hey friends, just a small personal update. 💛

There are a number of people in my life who I love and care for deeply who are walking through some pretty significant challenges at the moment, across both family and friends.

I'd love to be there for them, and I thought I could juggle it all, but I really can't!

So, for the time being, I’ve decided to press pause on Instagram until after the school holidays - Monday 5th October.

I’m hoping this space will help me to bring a little more light, hope and love to their world. 🙏🏽

🕯️Until then:

🖥️ The website will remain open to orders - please feel free to keep ordering!

📦 Orders placed between Mon 21st - Mon 28th September will be processed after the 28th (once we return from a small getaway).

For now, take care and thanks for your understanding.

I’ll see you on the other side of the holidays.

Love,
Tan xxx

That’s a wrap on July’s #MomentChallenge ✈️

This month was all about travel. This month’s winner is @itsalletc ✨What made their work stand out was the feeling of discovery. Rather than simply documenting a destination, they created an image that makes you feel like you’re experiencing the journey alongside them. The composition, light, and atmosphere come together to tell a story that reminds us travel isn’t just about where you go, but how a place makes you feel.

Thank you to everyone who submitted this month! Keep an eye out for the next one 🙌

✨CREATOR FEATURE✨ @itsalletc

We’ve been wanting to do this for a while and are so excited to share our first feature! Let’s share each other’s work and enjoy the beauty that we all create!

Hi, I’m Em, an Australian photographer with a love for storytelling. Through my work, I aim to capture the colour, joy, and quiet moments that shape the way we experience the world. My photography has often been described as feeling like an endless summer, filled with warmth, light, and a sense of nostalgia.

I believe the best photographs come from slowing down and experiencing a place before reaching for the camera. Taking the time to notice the little things (the etc 😉). Like the way morning light comes through a window, the sparkle of sunlight on the water, or clouds brushing against a mountain ridge.

I work with individuals, brands, and publications to create imagery that tells authentic stories of people, places, and spaces. My dream is to spend my life travelling the world with my camera, sharing moments that inspire others to explore a little more slowly ✨🌈📸

✨ EDEN. Collection ✨👉🏽 Introducing: The Paintings 🎨

Creating the Eden collection was never just about fragrance.
It was about capturing beauty, femininity, and joy in every way possible.

These four paintings by @susan.nethercote were selected to celebrate those very things.

🌸Together, they form a small “Garden of Eden” - an escape - with each gift box carrying its own piece of the garden.

My hope is that through this collection, you experience beauty and joy woven into your everyday moments. 🤍

Hope you love them!!

And next week??
🗓️ MEET THE COLLECTION 🥳
⏰ 4 days. 4 candles. Starting 12th March.

Can't wait!

Not all autumn scents need to smell like pumpkin and spice.

This season, I’m reaching for something softer.
Lavender & White tea.

It’s the kind of fragrance that feels like:
✨ A tidy home before the day begins
✨ Filtered afternoon light
✨ A deep breath you didn’t realise you needed

For the days that feel full, and the moments you need to soften the edges.
