POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Episode 11 now uploaded to YouTube 🥰 A friend recently asked me how I fit in filming and editing longer form content and honestly, this is why. Getting to watch back the memories in vlog form makes me appreciate that I got to capture some moments in our trip that are special to remember or in some cases, we’d rather forget but can laugh about it now 😂 Rewatching our journey fills me with so much gratitude and if it potentially inspires someone else to take that holiday or make those travel plans, then its worth the time and effort ♥️ Link in our bio or just look up @getlost.wandering in YouTube ✌🏼

Northern Territory, Australia

A love letter to this extraordinary place and to the incredible people who made it feel like home.

The Northern Territory has given us so much more than breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable sunsets. It has given us friendships, laughter, adventures, and a community we never knew we needed. Somewhere along the way, this place quietly stole a piece of our hearts.

@zulchs.do.aus you’ve been there with us from what feels like the very beginning. Thank you for every laugh, every shared adventure, and for always making life a little more fun. And just for the record… we all know I won the photo competition at Uluṟu.

@treats_trip & @getlost.wandering you have a permanent piece of my heart.

@itsallgoodadventures & @kadens_wander_aus we miss you more than you know and can’t wait to reunite with you both in WA. Until then, we’ll be counting down the days.

@yernaradventures thank you for creating the sense of community that has made this journey so unforgettable. You brought people together in a way that’s hard to put into words. Without you, so many of us really would have been travelling solo.

@hayleypalmer8787 you deserve a special mention. My soul sister. Thank you for your love, your friendship, and for always being nothing but yourself (I see you). You hold such a special place in my heart.

@smurftina611 , Paul, and Winnie you’ve become family. Thank you for opening your hearts to us and making us feel so welcomed and loved.

And of course @east_coast_travellers the closest thing we have to home. What a small world we live in and I’m so grateful you are here with us!

Thank you, Northern Territory. You’ll always have a piece of us. #northernterritory #travelaustrailia #exploreaustralia #caravaningwithkidsaustralia #homeiswheretheheartis

I found my family on the road! Everyone has impacted me so much and the hardest part was departing and saying goodbye but we know it won’t be forever! These are the friends I know I’m going to have for a very long time! @getlost.wandering @herecomethegrays @zulchs.do.aus @kadens_wander_aus @itsallgoodadventures @treats_trip 🩵🩵

📍 Finke Desert Race, 2026

The Finke Desert Race gave us so much more than just the action on the track.

For a few days, 7 families came together, camped side by side and created memories that will last a lifetime. The kids spent their days exactly as kids should, running free, covered in dust, making friends and playing outside from sunrise to sunset. No screens, no schedules, just adventure.

Among all the excitement, there was also sadness. Our thoughts are with Matthew’s family, friends and the entire Finke community following his tragic passing. A reminder that behind every race are people, families and a community that feels these losses deeply.

Finke is something special. The racing is incredible, but it’s the people and the memories made around the track that will stay with us forever ♥️

Forget about a mothers group… you need a travel mums community. 🚐✨

One of the best parts of life on the road isn’t the places we visit—it’s the people we meet.

From strangers to friends, we’ve found a village that understands this lifestyle and does life alongside us.

Grateful for the friendships, the memories, and the blessing of exploring this beautiful country together. 🧡

FINKE - Icy mornings, red dust for days, clear blue skies, awesome crew. Definitely exceeded my expectations!

Delivered everything: dust, laughs, unforgettable stories, and a few aliens along the way … 👽 until next time, Finke.

📍 Finke River Camp

This spot was about so much more than the beautiful landscape.

What made Finke River Camp truly special were the friendships and connections we made with like minded families on the same crazy travelling journey. Watching the kids spend hours together, creating their own adventures, building friendships, and making memories they’ll carry with them for years was pretty magical.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, it’s not always the places we visit that leave the biggest impact. It’s the people we meet along the way ♥️

A cold, misty morning at Finke… 🌫️

Haha nah, that’s the dust mate. 🤣💨

The cars had already blasted through before most of us had finished our first coffee, leaving behind a dust cloud so big it looked like fog rolling across camp.

For a moment we thought we’d woken up to a chilly, misty morning in the outback… then we remembered where we were. 😂

Just another morning at Finke. Red dirt, roaring engines, and enough dust to create its own weather system.

West MacDonnell Ranges, NT ✨

One of our most treasured experiences yet, camped beside the Finke River, under vast desert skies and a million stars. Shared with friends who somehow feel more like family, making every sunset richer and every campfire story a little more special.

These are the moments that stay with you long after the dust settles.
