Am 6. Oktober 2023 veröffentlichte Drake sein achtes Studioalbum „For All The Dogs“ – heute feiert das Projekt sein dreijähriges Jubiläum.

Das Album erschien mitten während seiner „It’s All A Blur Tour“ und umfasste ursprünglich 23 Songs. Mit dabei waren unter anderem SZA, J. Cole, 21 Savage, Yeat, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Chief Keef, Bad Bunny und Lil Yachty. Das Cover wurde von Drakes damals fünfjährigem Sohn Adonis gezeichnet.

Songs wie „Virginia Beach“, „First Person Shooter“, „IDGAF“, „Daylight“, „Slime You Out“ und „8am in Charlotte“ prägten den Release. Nur wenige Wochen später folgte mit „Scary Hours 3“ eine Erweiterung, auf der Drake den Fokus wieder deutlich stärker auf Rap legte.

„For All The Dogs“ steht damit für eine besondere Phase seiner Karriere: Drake veröffentlichte das Album während einer laufenden großen Tour, arbeitete mit Künstlern verschiedener Generationen zusammen und kombinierte auf einem Projekt erneut Rap und R&B.

From an overlooked Checkers lot on one of Philly’s busiest corridors into a true landmark: a 1,560 square foot public art installation 🧱✨

We teamed up with North Broad Renaissance and for nearly a month worked on bringing to life what is now Philadelphia’s very first largest chain link fabric and yarn installation of this scale, A medium that has only been done a handful of times anywhere in the world 🌎

Every single strip of fabric was hand cut, color coordinated and hand weaved entirely by hand by an incredible team of artists. We poured countless hours into conceptualizing and bringing this massive vision to life.

By utilizing this textile method directly on the chain link infrastructure, we intentionally worked across 24 panels and engineered a long lasting weather resistant installation that’s environmentally friendly which also protects against elements without causing permanent structural damage or chemical waste.

The feedback and excitement from the community while we were out on the block have been incredible!!Seeing how an idea came to life and transformed an empty space into something vibrant highlighting the “Health Is Wealth” theme with embedded words of affirmation showed us how powerful public art can be.

We hope this opens up opportunities for other fences and overlooked spaces across our city to be reimagined and beautified in entirely new ways which can completely redefine what Public art is, we surely got some ideas! ❤️

Huge appreciation to the incredible artists who brought their hands, energy, and relentless hustle to get this across the finish line: Designed and led by Ydaly Mer, Jared Jackson, Brian Ward, F, Ayva-McCoy Johnson and other local talents.

Go check it out in person at North Broad & Butler street and let us know your thoughts in the comments! 👇🏽

A playground, a training center and a canvas all in one 🩶⚽️ Today on @positivelyphillytv @phl17 @thecw to document the launch of our new functional ground mural at Safe Hub!

Redefining public art through real world utility is something I’m really passionate about and seeing it live on screen today meant so much to me @safehub_philly provides an amazing space for youth to learn and play soccer and @wallsforjustice uplifts communities through art!! 🎨Designing this was not just a dream, but bringing it to life alongside the local residents who helped paint it made it unforgettable!!!! We turned this ground into a giant canvas for movement, and this is truly just the beginning of what’s to come.

Swipe to see the vibrant details of the court, and
drop a ⚽️ if you’re ready to test out the drillszzz!!!
