This beautiful picture capturing our true emotion and gratitude was taken right after our last Boesman en Lena show today. What a year. We started at @woordfees , with lots of angst and heaviness in our hearts, yet layered with joy that our souls aligned, and now we got to come back to wrap it up, full circle. This time we were free, after having had glorious runs at @kknkfees and after finally setting foot on @aardklopkunstefees stages.

No matter what they say, it’s been an honour and a privilege. @christodavids , thank you for the way you direct and guide and protect and stay true to the text ♥️ thank you for honouring Athol, Vinette’s translation and the core of the story. The struts will always lie in the text and you see it. Thank you for seeing Lena, Boesman & Outa. Thank you for holding space for us and being so clear in what this story is about that we had no chance of ever getting lost in our portrayal of the story.

Brendon, I love you. Thank you for being the best, most honourable human to, “play tennis with,” on stage. You had me every step of the way, and what a gift to have been able to hold you.

Tshamano, you hold me on my toes. You come with decades of knowledge and your hug before and after every show made me come back towards myself every time. This will forever remain one of the greatest honours of my life.

To @die_kudu & @kaylin_leighk thank you for everything you’ve done for us, both technically and emotionally. I love you endlessly! 🤍

I am proud of what we have accomplished. We have run with perseverance the race that is now behind us ❤️ against all odds, we pulled it off and gloriously so! 🤗 I love you both forever 🤍🤍🤍 #BoesmanenLena.
