Last night with Brett Epstein we cracked the code. 🎬

Stop performing. Start embodying.

There’s a difference between proving you can do it — and actually honoring the story.

One books the job. One doesn’t.

We went deep on how to use your auditions as a place of full expression, not a test to pass.

Every casting director is different. Their preferences. Their pet peeves. What lights them up and what makes them tune out immediately.

So how do you crack the code?

You ask someone who has been in the room with ALL of them. 👀

I’m teaming up with Brett Epstein — founder of Underground Workshops — for a FREE one-hour session where we’re spilling everything.

What stands out. What quietly kills your chances. What actually books right now.

📅 Tuesday, April 28th | 7:00 PM EST | Zoom | 100% Free

Ok I’m late on this…. But 2025!
I got engaged, went to Eurovision, climbed a few mountains, fostered a bunch of sweeties (one of whom we had to fatten up and then we *accidentally* kept him) worked on a bunch of fun new shows (at second city, under st marks and 54 below), ran my first marathon sub 4, and took whatever excuses possible to wear costumes :). Many thanks to the friends who put up with my complaints and tears and going to bed too early. Here’s to more parties, more puppies, more amazing people and staying up later in 2026 😙

The gift of this year was getting to make a movie with friends. I’m so touched and grateful that so many incredible talents came together to share their art, voices and skills to make our film, my first feature directing and it’s been a year of very hard work that throughout the journey has felt like pure discovery and play. It has offered me a direct line to the heart and explosive contagious joy as a filmmaker. We now come to a close for the year (and in our edit) and I can’t wait to share what we made in 2026. Tremendous LOVE to this remarkable cast and crew. Thank you for this. For all you brought and shared to make our film together. It means more than I can say. @liserbeth @willmartinez07 @xrisdelrio @sarinmonae @davis.huf @amirarison @alisoncimmet @kelseyleajones @wyattfenner @keilyn_em_softly @brianjmcmanamon @solruizofficial @teddi2damax @saamertime @morgan.simonson

MY FRIEND SHERRY: Lip-Synced & Unfiltered
Created by Brett Daniel
Voice Memos by Sherry Berg
Directed by RJ Tolan

A cathartically comedic lip-sync confession inspired by real voice memos between two best friends. It’s raw, ridiculous, and completely unfiltered.

🎟️ Tickets: https://thetanknyc.org/calendar-1/2025/10/23/my-friend-sherry
