#CuriousAboutCraft?
Here’s a round-up of what’s on...

If you're near @bhamcathedral in the next few weeks pop in and see our exhibition of small, contemporary artworks created by 14 early career makers, artists and designers. The pieces were made with people in Cathedral Square at Craftspace’s In:Site events, from 2015 – 2022.

Opening: Wednesday 7th February. 8:20am-5pm.
Free. At Birmingham Cathedral, Colmore Row, B3 2QB.

Also:

We’re planning free drop-in craft workshops run by contemporary makers Mahawa Keita (@mansading_designs) and Jesse Hargreaves (@jessehargreaves_), inspired by the Cathedral’s recently restored stained glass windows on Saturday 17th February, 11am-3pm. All welcome, no experience necessary!

Elsewhere:

Digbeth First Fridays is back! On the evening of Friday 2nd February, you can visit these exhibitions at Fazeley Studios, @eprjcts @centrala_space @vividprojectsuk @efa_art_gallery @recentactivity @engineroomdigbeth

Visit @digbethfirstfri to find out more!

Sharing Skills:

In the run up to our Made in the Middle exhibition we want to highlight places where you can learn and share craft skills, particularly in the Midlands. Moseley and King’s Heath Shed @mkhshed provide almost daily making sessions (art, craft, mosaic, woodwork, and glasswork) at the Old Potting Shed in Kings Heath Park, all for a suggested donation of £3 per session! All sessions are led and guided by experienced instructors.

To get involved, email a completed membership form (found on their website) to the Membership Secretary or visit the Shed during one of its public sessions.
