You asked, so here’s how the book club table came together.

For The Vanishing Half, I wanted the table to tell a little of the story, too. I used brown and cream fabric to reflect the contrasting lives of the two sisters, then built everything else around that foundation.

A few details worth saving:

• The “tablecloth” is actually eight photography backdrop curtain panels (four of each color) draped over an eight-foot folding table. Fold the seams into one another, create your pleats, and tuck the excess fabric underneath.

• I anchored the centerpiece with five pieces: three candlesticks at varying heights and two vases nestled between them.

• Instead of chargers, I layered matching dinner plates, linen napkins and bowls, since dinner was being served in bowls.

• Country roses and loose greenery nodded to the book’s Southern setting. I arranged the greenery to feel like one continuous runner rather than separate bunches.

• Candlelight was our only light source for dinner, so I finished with tea lights and lit everything just before guests arrived. Keep open flames clear of greenery and fabric.

And the most important step? Enjoy the people you invited over. 🤎

There are moments when I genuinely think I would make a GREAT famous person
…and this is definitely one of them!! lol

Creating the Estela de Luz universe has been one of the most fun, and creatively fulfilling things I could have ever imagined. ✨

This photoshoot for the cover of my self-titled album, ESTELA DE LUZ, was truly one of the best days of my life. Not just because of the images we created, but because of the incredible people who brought this whole vision to life.

So come spend the day with us!! I hope you have as much fun watching this vlog as we did making it.

I hope you love my single covers and new single reveal at the end of the vlog 👀

stay tuned… because the album cover + official launch announcement are coming VERY soon!! 😉

To the dream team who made this day so special:

@maiartmedia You are such a visionary. These came out SO fucking cool. Thank you for listening to me, being so open to my ideas, and making this entire project feel so exciting and fun. I’m so grateful we got to create this together. ❤️

@itschasejacobs — thank you for being my rock, my eyes, and my ears. I love you more than I could ever put into words. Thank you for always being there and helping me see the vision through. ❤️

@alexgonzalezhair — you really DID YOUR BIG ONE with my wig!! 😭🔥 I loved my hair SO much. It looked exactly the way I dreamed it could. Thank you for your attention to detail and for always bringing so much creativity into everything you do. I’m constantly inspired by you, my dear friend. ❤️

@lilyalarconartistry I think I’ve only trusted ONE other person in my entire life to do my glam… and you absolutely understood the assignment. I could not have done it better myself!! Thank you for making me feel so beautiful and for being so lovely to me throughout the whole day. ❤️
