Beef Suya and Jollof Rice 🇳🇬 @lailafoodsuk

About last night. Keeping you in the loop with this weeks dinners and last night it was Beef Suya and Jollof Rice made with @lailafoodsuk rice.

Ingredients 🥩🌶️

Skirt Steak 500g thinly sliced
Vegetable oil
Cucumber
Onion
Tomatoes
Wooden Skewers

Seasonings:

Suya powder
Ground ginger
Ground garlic
Adobo powder
Chicken bouillon
Chicken seasoning
Smoked paprika
Onion powder
African Hot Pepper seasoning

Method

1️⃣ Soak the wooden skewers in water 20-30 mins before using.

2️⃣ Wash steak, pat dry and slice thinly

3️⃣ Season the steak with the dry seasonings, (season with your heart) then add a dash of oil mix thoroughly and leave to marinate for at least 30 mins or longer if possible.

4️⃣ Thread the steak onto the skewers, fold in half then pierce.

5️⃣ Add the skewers to a baking tray the bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 12-15 mins each side. Then finish off in the grill for 5 mins on medium heat to crisp up.

6️⃣ Remove from grill and sprinkle with more suya spice and serve with Jollof rice, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and sliced onions.
