September 17 marks the birth of Candle Schtick, that’s one year of friendships, gigs, and lewks. I couldn’t have grown this much if it weren’t for all the chances I’ve gotten in the last year to bring my makeup, costuming, and art to the stage. If you made it to the collage or not, I still enjoyed every moment we shared together backstage.

Thank you to all of our local show directors @debbiewithad for my first gig, @mamahoney718, @laveaucontraire, @cucci.licci , @mistiebonet, @thatladygotwood, @taraholeroyale (when u had shows 😭), @queensoflouisianacreations , @missgiagiavanni, @ivydripp, @lexlikelutha, @ms_lady_lux, @muffyvanderbiltthethird, @krakowlightning

Another day, another awesome Drag Brunch in New Orleans! I had my first #southerndecadence brunch of the year at @bourbonorleanshotel hosted once again by my friend @itscrystaledge. The majority of the cast included some of the usual suspects, those being some of my best friends in @laveaucontraire @debbiewithad and @voryqua. And for the special guest, we had #dragraceseason14 and #allstars10 alum @dayabetty! I’d been wanting to see Daya since I missed her at @splashbrla many years before. And given how fantastic she was tonight, as well as how fun she was to talk with after the show, that was WELL worth the wait! I also enjoyed seeing her perform to @nightclubband in her first number, since I saw them open for @puscifer years ago. All in all, quite an incredible day to be there, and it was a blast as always to see everyone! Hope this Decadence continues to go well! #dayabetty
PS: hope to see Daya with @acidbetty for a Petty Bettys Podcast tour sometime!

When the cast of #dragraceallstars 11 was announced, there were a number of alumni I was excited to see not just on the show, but in person too. If there was one person I was absolutely hoping to see, it was Season 14 and AS11 alum @jasminekennedie. Fortunately, @itscrystaledge is friends with her, so that one worked out!
Jasmine is someone I clicked with on both seasons she’s competed on. On Season 14, she not only showcased her signature wit and motormouth, but her acrobatic performance abilities as well (both of which caused me to refer to her as the #DeadPool of Drag). And she showed so much growth and evolution on All-Stars 11, and I was happy to see her make it as far as she did!
On Thursday, I saw her at the Foundation Room of the House Of Blues for @hardcandyevents alongside Crystal Edge, @laveaucontraire , @roslynn.aphrodite.alexander , and @seraphinaamor. All of the above stunned the crowd with their performances throughout the night and were a joy to see. And when Jasmine hit the stage, she showed her signature stunning performance ability that was more than worth the wait to see! She truly is a captivating performer who lets her talent shine with each performance. Plus, she’s such a beauty in person too! I highly recommend you guys see her when you get the chance! Plus, it was fun spotting @theonlycocomontrese at the show!
And since Jasmine is a transgender woman, I feel this should be mentioned too, as I say with all my transgender friends in this day and age: Transgender Lives and Rights Matter. #rupaulsdragrace #translivesmatter
