Most people think school board governance is about agendas and board meetings. It’s not. The future of public education requires governance professionals who can analyze policy, monitor legislation, synthesize complex issues, identify community trends, and help elected leaders make informed decisions that impact more than 140,000 students. That’s why @cmsboard is hiring a Board Governance and Strategic Initiatives Specialist. We’re looking for someone who is equal parts: 📊 Policy analyst 📚 Researcher 🤝 Relationship builder 📈 Strategic thinker 📝 Exceptional communicator ⚖️ Governance professional In this role, you’ll help shape Board decision-making by: • Researching emerging education issues and legislation • Preparing governance and policy briefs • Supporting Board strategic initiatives and accountability • Analyzing constituent trends and community priorities • Strengthening governance operations and organizational effectiveness • Helping build one of the nation’s leading Board governance offices If you’re passionate about public service, strategy, policy, governance, and creating systems that improve outcomes for students and communities, I’d encourage you to apply or share this opportunity with someone who would be a great fit. The work behind effective governance is rarely in the spotlight, but it makes all the difference. #Governance #PublicService #EducationLeadership #Policy #NowHiring
