I guess today officially marks that I’m a GIA-certified jewelry designer. Which means everything I design not only has to look good, but also must strictly follow jewelry casting and engineering fundamentals. Every piece must be a solid, closed, watertight object. It’s not an easy job — but I’m so glad I poured my heart into it.

I’m incredibly grateful for the past seven months of my life at the birthplace where the diamond grading standard was established — for the precious knowledge I gained which is not easy to acquire elsewhere, for all the amazing like-minded friends I was blessed to meet and spend time with, and for all the wonderful moments here and there that truly made my days.

This marks the end of an important chapter of mine — and surely the beginning of a thrilling new one.

I’ll miss this place forever! @giagrams
