The last day in the studio of @theshuffleverse was full of even more Love now that all of our friendships have had three days to strengthen. Every shuffle verse feels like a Reunion and these reunions keep getting better. I tried Donny’s choreography, but it had multiple spins and jumps and landings, all on my bad ankle. Ricky and I started upper dead with a couple hours of rehearsals, then we got a couple of classes in the studio, then we helped break down the Shuffle verse, then raced to @casacontentaa for a few more rehearsals, then played our show right after @ronreeser threw down, then danced our butts off for @kentomoriguchi_ and @lolo.flows set, then @iamgregorydillon @stachepapi set, then of course @tluxx closed out the night. I’m gonna make another post for @itsrickysixx and my performance, but please go through these slides and feel the love and joy that we all got to feel! @theshuffleverse @shuffle.steff

Danggggg @theshuffleverse was 🔥🔥🔥🎉

Last minute send to Shuffle verse turned out so dope. I was not planning on going then my boy @itsdannydiazz said he needed some DJ help with his performance and I sent it. I made the plans, then got injured @txshufflebattles and was planning on not going because I wouldn’t be able to dance. Danny convinced me to go anyways and whoa was I blown away. Imagine 4 days of non stop shuffle classes, cyphers and awesome people. even though I couldn’t participate a whole lot because of my ankle, I was still able to enjoy the energy of everyone there. I also got to perform at the after party @casacontentaa with Danny and that was epic! I met so many new and old friends and honestly that was a highlight of the weekend, everyone was so beautiful inside and out and I can’t wait until the next one! I’ll post some more stuff from this weekend soon. 🙏
If you like to dance, especially shuffle dance, I would recommend checking it out! 🕺

The @theshuffleverse dance convention is one of the most important parts of my life. The community here is EVERYTHING! The energy I get from other shufflers lights my world on fire. It’s wild, infectious, rambunctious, and can resemble the behavior of actual crackheads. (No judgement against crackheads, just stating a fact)

Day 2 of the dance convention was a BANGER. We hit up @brea shuffle fitness class, then cj and I took @tenshi0 “hip hop shuffle steeze” class and it was easily my favorite of the weekend, right after @gillytheanswer ‘s Groove class on Friday and Kento’s experimental Bass Music class on Sunday. I LOVED the classes that didn’t involve choreo because my ankle was so injured coming into Shuffleverse that I couldn’t execute any choreo, and could barely dance at all, but these classes filled me with love and joy!
@itsrickysixx and I rehearsed our entire show in the van in the parking lot outside Shuffleverse, including our full DJ set, which @tluxx helped me organize! Thank you so much for everything fellas, nothing happens without the TEAM!

Through @theShuffleverse community I get the energy I need to be my favorite version of myself, and to pursue a life as a touring musician. I’m grateful for every one of you who gives me this gift!
Standby for Day 3, 4, and the post about @itsrickysixx and I’s performance!! #shuffle #dance
