🟥🟥 INTRODUCING 🟥🟥

The penultimate act taking over the upstairs stage tomorrow night is the wonderful Stop Throwing Lemons

Stop Throwing Lemons are a 4-piece alt-rock/indie band from Galway, Ireland, consisting of two Jacks and two Liams; Liam Carton (vocals), Jack Qualter (Guitar), Jack Silke (Bass) and Liam Liddane (Drums).
“Jacks on strings, Liams on other things”.
Lovingly described as “cheesy but necessary”, STL have been busy in recent months, playing a variety of local gigs in Galway. Having played together as a three-piece since secondary school, the band picked up Liam Liddane in college and threw themselves into the Galway music scene. In August 2023, we got the opportunity to record 3 songs, which have become our debut singles. “MindWorm” (February 23rd), “This Means Nothing” (April 12th), and “Untethered” (May 25th) were released in recent months, and we’re over the moon to finally have them out.

And we're over the moon to finally have them on a lineup with us!!!

🟥🟥 INTRODUCING 🟥🟥

last weeke we introduced you to everyone playing our main stage on the night, now it's time to meet the messeds taking over upstairs on the night, and what better way to kick things off than with a returning hero of the Galway music scene, Kowalski FKA Dylan Murphy. Make sure to check out his interview in this week's Connacht Tribune!

In case you haven’t noticed, guitar music is back, and Kowalski (AKA
Galway-based songwriter Dylan Murphy) could not be more thrilled.
Murphy returned to Ireland from the UK in late 2023 and, having released
music under his own name for over half a decade, decided it was time for a
creative change. Taking inspiration from one-man acts such as Villagers,
Iron & Wine, and Tandem Felix, he felt that an alias would allow him
greater range to develop his own sound and musical identity.
Specializing in fuzzy, guitar-driven folk-rock songs with an emphasis on
catchy hooks and melodies, Kowalski draws influence from a number of
different alternative acts, including Jack White, Courtney Barnett, and
Tom Waits.
Under his own name, Dylan Murphy released 3 EPs, performed at
Body&Soul and Electric Picnic and supported a variety of well-known acts,
including Jeffrey Lewis, Brian Deady, and Jake Clemons.

Tickets still available from our Link tree or below, but moving fast so don't miss out!!

🟥🟥 INTRODUCING 🟥🟥

With just one week to go until this lovely night of music we're delighted to announce that the wonderful @caitomusic will be playing on the mainstage for us on the night, katie has been a mainstay of the Galway music scene for years and we chuffed she said yes to joining us for such a good cause.

Katie O’Connor feels that the one place she can truly call home is within a song. Combining
rhythmic guitar playing with heartfelt lyrics and a voice that has to be heard to be believed.
In 2012, after graduating as a midwife in the city of Galway on the west coast of Ireland, she
set eyes on Berlin where she quickly found her place in the bohemian music scene.
Over the following years, Katie’s following grew and she found herself captivating larger and
larger crowds, in kitchens, concert halls, and everywhere in between. She has amassed a
dazzling repertoire of songs and stories which continue to allure and astonish. Within her
repertoire of five original albums, she delves into the realm of uncertainty and vulnerability,
touching on spirituality, self-worth, unity, and change.

Doors are at 8pm and first act 8.15pm.
