Besties get married in Thailand: a nonlinear path to a magical display of love & community.

The bachelorette party was planned down to the detail & I was rockin a cowgirl hat that read “BRIDE” in pearls through every airport on my way to Koh Samui.
When someone yelled “She’s getting married!”
I’d respond, “YEA I AM!” 😂💁🏻‍♀️

The day we started to make our ways across the globe, a war began. The family & most of the guests were stuck in Israel, and we had no idea when or if this wedding would go on without them.

About 20 of us made it. We replanned the activities & navigated a lot of unknowns. We played hard, prayed harder, laughed a ton & held space for a lot of emotion. I met people on a Thursday that were my family by Friday. Changed flights, extended hotels, people moved mountains to stay in hopes that a wedding would happen that week. We held it down through a bonding experience no one expected, and it was lost on no one the importance of every person’s presence in this group journey.

On the original day, it poured rain. The bride let the sky match her tears while we sang Alanis & joked that this was why God delayed the wedding.

Eventually, a miracle occurred & we got the bride’s family to Thailand. A man surprised the groom by getting his family to gather & put them up on a big screen near the ceremony so he could see their faces even though they weren’t able to make it. It was a group effort of epic proportion, and the result was showing the bride & groom just how loved they are by their friends.

I cried like a baby when her mom finally walked in to our bridal suite on the day of the wedding, just as we were washing her hair. We got her ready, she was perfect, the sky opened & it was beautiful.

Watching them show each other more care & love through such a tough experience deepened my already-huge appreciation for these two & their bond. They are a perfect example of what it means to be better together, and I’m so grateful for the trust & generosity they gave me to contribute to this experience.

They made the vows, but we are all bonded for life after that one. What a ride.
Thank you all for one of the deepest, most incredible weeks.

2024, where to start. This year was one of the hardest, but in those hardships is where I was able to focus on the things I really love. Here are a few moments that captured fun, passion, friends and family. Wishing all a blessed 2025! ✨ this our year.
