Had a great time celebrating Cinco de Mayo with my longtime friends from PATx. We formed The Posse back in high school and we’re still clique tyte til this day. Neither time nor distance can separate us. We were only missing a few. Love yall 4Life.

Another year around the sun. Another year of growth and discovery. Another year of unlearning and relearning. Another year of counting my blessings and gratitude.⁣

I can look back to this time last year and realize exactly where I was and how I felt.⁣

I look at where I am today and realize how much progress I’ve made as an individual, a mum, and a business owner.⁣
⁣
So much has changed in a year. I am in a constant state of evolution. I used to think everything had to be perfect for life to be good.⁣
⁣
Now I know that there’s no such thing as perfectionism. There’s taking steps (baby steps count) towards your goals and the life you want and being content with the progress you make.⁣
⁣
There’s being grateful for the people you have in your corner and for your blessings, big and small.⁣
⁣
There’s the commitment you make to never give up on yourself or your dreams.⁣
⁣
There is constantly thanking God for his hand in your life and that he never fails you.⁣
⁣
A big shoutout to my friends and the hubby for planning an epic birthday weekend that EXCEEDED my expectations. They planned and executed everything with zero input from me. ⁣

I truly believe attending and graduating 💅🏾 from a HBCU is our ancestors wildest of dreams. & it’s still one of my greatest accomplishments. @randomandchic (formerly known as Shayla Barbie) was birthed on this campus. My first customers came from this campus.
