When I was little, my favorite movie was “the last unicorn” and man, I have found quite a few in my life 🦄 I feel so honored to know and have befriended these lovely women and so many more. It’s so rare to find women who are successful, kind, funny, compassionate, giving, authentic (vulnerable), nurturing, driven, industrious, humble, and supportive. I have stated before that it is my conjecture that women have to come together despite our differences to defy our social conditioning of competitiveness in order stand behind one another without judgement or the projection of our insecurities. To be conscious of the passive aggressive commentary, our own discomfort and to heal from our traumas in order to form a true sisterhood. We cannot call ourselves feminists while using exclusive language “she should have the courage to...” ”hate to be one of those girls but...” “idk why she acted...” “I’m not the kind of girl who....” “I don’t believe her...” “I can’t believe she posted..” The truth of the matter is, what we say of others is a greater reflection of ourselves than the other person. The truth is, that we can only expect respect when we demonstrate it to each other. The truth is, we cannot expect to be included, heard or welcomed when we are shaming others or putting ourselves on pedestals. People have intrinsic worth which has nothing to do with what they have or look like, and we have no business assigning our perceptions to them. Thankful to have found such beautiful women, I’m so grateful for your kindness and energy.
