WIDE BASE. BETTER BALANCE. MORE OPTIONS.

When teaching dribble moves, we emphasize proper balance and matching the feet with every dribble.

A wide base isn’t just about being stronger or harder to move. It’s about creating balance, rhythm, and freedom of movement.

When you create a wider base, you give yourself more balance, more angles to attack, and more opportunities to counter. It allows you to change directions more efficiently, play with better rhythm and pace, and ultimately move with more freedom.

Your feet and the basketball should work together. Every dribble should have a purpose, and every move should put you in position to make the next play.

Don’t just learn the move. Learn how to move.

I’ve been stressing to our players for a while now that there should be a point in every workout where there’s a challenge they have to overcome.

Whether it’s frustration, exhaustion, failure, or simply being uncomfortable, we have to put players in environments that challenge them beyond what feels easy.

The game is uncomfortable. And as you continue to move up, it only gets more challenging.

The players who spend the most time learning how to become comfortable in chaos are ultimately the ones who rise to the occasion when those moments present themselves.

Don’t run from the hard moments in your workouts. Learn how to embrace them.
