Actor 🎞️
A gal with love of history and things that glow 🌸 life is better if you find some whimsy in it 💫

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

So I did a thing. Well Ive been doing a thing called stage combat for a while now. Something happened last week, I became an advanced actor combatant with the BASSC. A long Time coming.

What have I learnt?
Well What have I not stopped continuing to learn and obsess over?
It’s not about being the best.
It’s not about winning.
It’s about not stopping fighting.
And the oh so cliche actory thing we hear all the time.
You can only fail, if you give up - if you stop fighting.
I continued to …and yeah well, here I am.

But not without a huge help from so many wonderful people that are now part of my life and im also very pleased to consider my friends.
I couldnt have done any of this without their love, help and continued belief in me.

So this is a huge thank you for everyone I have met through @thebassc and @idfight

Combine an acute love of with sharp metal pointy things and wonderful people and you have the formula for obsession.

All these snippets here are tips of the iceburgs of all the things that have resonated with me in the last few months and I have too much stuff to put into one post that covers it all.

But you know who you all are - and im lucky to have you in my life.

1. Cheeky Quarterstaff 2. Smallsword outtakes 3. Broadsword silhouettes 4. Star trekking or hunger gaming? 5. R and Ding with monsters 6. Cheeky knife 7. More Quarterstaff 8. A sword day is a good day 9. Broadsword beauts 10. Best times and sweet people 11. Eclipsing at the #bnscw 12. #bnscw posse 13. Still standing but yeah … 14. Stomping the old grounds 15. Thank you thank you 16. Broadsword posing 17. You think mabye I like Quarterstaff? 18. My face around swords 19. Expert at dying 20. Presented with my first sword to make it official

That’s a wrap on BNSCW 2026! This has been an amazing learning experience and I met and got to work with some fabulous people. Swipe to see some of the highlights! ⚔️

We watched the eclipse together, which became one of the loveliest community bonding moments I’ve had all year. 🌙

I made muscle tees out of BASSC shirts to beat the heat (and might I add, mastered my serger machine!)

We had pub chaos, cards and brilliant meals out! (Joakim and Max wiped the floor with us all at poker!) ♦️♣️♥️♠️

And of course, I couldn’t have done any of this without my intern counterpart, the Shield to my Small, @jamiemcallisterstunts

You were such a bright spot, endlessly supportive and always there with a joke or Poisson Steve rendition to keep me going. I loved making up little bits of choreo in the spare moments, being your Ceilidh partner…

…and OF COURSE who could forget absolutely nailing this sword toss manoeuvre!

To the future!
SMALL AND SHIELD!

Thank you to all the Interns, Teachers and Students for making this a wonderful fortnight of violence! It was a great end to being 25 - now time to be 26!

🔥🎭 FIRESIDE FOLKTALES SHOW SPOTLIGHT No 2 🎭🔥

MACBETH: SLEEP NO MORE.
'All hail Macbeth that shalt be King hereafter…'

With these portentous words, the three witches seal the fate of the Thane of Glamis – and also that of all the others whom Macbeth will dispose of on the way to fulfilling their deadly prophecy.

Emma King-Farlow's electrifying adaptation of Shakespeare’s infamous tragedy and widely-studied classic, that retells the old story of the 11th century Scottish king, and examines the physical and psychological damage done by political ambition – both to those who seek power for its own sake, and to those who get in their way...

Press & Audience Reviews:
“King-Farlow’s skilfully edited and staged adaptation is perfectly pitched from witchy start to blood-letting finish… I’ll be making tracks for a repeat run. Yes, it was that good.” - Fringe Review

“Absolutely riveting stuff!” - North West End

“Stand not upon the order of your going but go at once.” - The Wee Review

“So many brilliant touches. Macbeth's slow descent was so good, trying to fix his position and becoming more and more brutal. I don't think I've seen that so clearly before. We have bought tickets to see it again!” - Catharine B, Audience Member, No.36

Recommended Age: 8+ (includes staged combat)
