Manchester! The community spirit was out in full force for the WE ARE HERE preview screening of the BAFTA nominated film WASTEMAN curated by @khara.adele at @home_mcr last week. What a joy it was to be able to experience @heronche__’s moving short film, MUREWA before being some of the first in the country to see @davidjonsson__ and @tomblyth’s gripping performances in WASTEMAN on the big screen. A huge thankyou to @tipp_mcr for being involved in the evening and talking more about their vital work with prisons. Thanks to everyone who showed up and stuck around to unpack the film and chat some more in the bar afterwards.

A special shoutout to @itslaytonblake who plays Maxi in the film, it was great to share the evening with you and your family in your hometown!

WASTEMAN is out in cinemas now, a @lionsgateuk release.
