Back where it all began… 🎭 ⁣ A belated CONGRATULATIONS on a brilliant show! Dick Whittington was a laugh a minute from start to finish and included ALL of the beautiful Westovian traditions we know and love….⁣ ⁣ ‘We’ll have to do it again then, won’t we?! Woo!’⁣ ⁣ Cannot wait to see next year’s show. Hopefully with the same amazing team, including two of my personal favs and fellow ex junior members:⁣ ⁣ 🎬 @k.a.f.actor ✍️ @mr_david_foster 🎭 @westovians ⁣ Help us! We’re old now!

TVIFF 2025 🎬 ⁣ ⁣ I can’t thank Michael and the organisers enough for everything they are doing to inspire the next generation of NE Creatives. ⁣ ⁣ It was a brilliant turnout of passionate, positive, likeminded North Eastern story tellers looking to put this wonderful area we call home firmly on the map! ⁣ ⁣ Well done on a terrific festival and building the most gorgeous community. It was truly a blessing last night to be given the opportunity to thank my hero face to face for the kindness he showed a young, ambitious, Libby Walker many moons ago….⁣ ⁣ In 2007 I auditioned for a small grant towards my audition costs and fees to attend drama school in London and was awarded that grant by Tim Healy and the Sammy Johnson Memorial Fund (now @sundayforsammy ). ⁣ Fast forward to today, helping my dear friends at the TVIFF @thetviff ), I got to spend an evening with Tim, his fabulous wife Jo and Bill Fellows (@fellows9690 ) and explain to him exactly how his kindness back in 2007 has changed my life forever.⁣ ⁣ That one small grant enabled me to audition to West End feeder schools to which I was successful and graduate from the London Studio Centre (@ldnstudiocentre ). From there I worked in the industry solidly for over ten years before retraining at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (@cssdlondon ), from which I have never looked back. ⁣ ⁣ Thank you again Tim and the Sammy Johnson Memorial Fund for everything you do to support the North East and working class talent 💫👑 you’ll always hold a big place in my heart ♥️
