The idea of starting something like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu—or any combat sport—can feel intimidating and overwhelming.

You’ve seen martial arts gyms before, or you’ve seen them on TV or hear about them, and it’s natural to worry: Will I fit in? Am I going to get hurt by some lunatic on an ego trip?

You might even worry that nothing will make sense because there’s no real structure, or the coaching will be underwhelming or random.

At KODAMA BJJ, we operate differently. We prioritize the safety and development of our members above everything else:

Club Charter: Every single member reads and signs up to our strict Code of Conduct before ever stepping on the mats.

The Golden Rule: Every class is prefaced with one non-negotiable rule: Do not hurt your training partner under any circumstances.

Crystal Clear Structure: Our coaches follow modern sports pedagogy and skill acquisition principles, focusing entirely on long-term growth over "winning".

We are dedicated to delivering the absolute best BJJ training experience anywhere. We’ve only just begun, and our classes are filling up every week. Come find out why.

So what are you waiting for? Step through the door.

Start Your 6-Week Trial:

Our £149 6-week unlimited trial gives you access to as many classes as you want, PLUS your very own high-quality Gi and belt to keep.

Ping us a message or hit the link in our bio to secure your spot!

Grow deep, stay grounded.

The Lonely Chapter.

I’ve been thinking lots about what message I want to share as I tell my story to all of you

I’m nearly there but I know I’ll place lots of emphasis on facilitating connection and making sure nobody feels like they need to grow alone

On Friday night I hosted Game, Set, Chat

My first attempt at creating a space for people to connect and form lasting connections

As you can see, it went down pretty well!

If you want to be part of the next one, comment “connection” and I’ll be in touch

This is your cue to hire a videographer and don’t tell your partner until you start 🤣

First run out with @oliviamaraio

Missed the reaction when we ran into the ski section and she found out, but was good fun 😂

Before anyone asks on on the T, we had to close the doors on Hunt Visuals merch as we couldnt keep up with the demand ;)

Out and about…

Building the B-Roll library 📚

Just a quick edit to a couple video clips filmed in brighton yesterday, applying some new cinematic colourgrading tips learnt from my friend @strengthinmotionfilms 🙏🏼

Looking forward to getting properly stuck into the footage and testing some new ads from the ad

Discipline = Freedom

Gunna get more creative with content going forward. More personal bits too.

Realised that although the polished look is great, people want to see the realness behind the screen and camera

Stay tuned as it’s on the way 🫡

Why do I fucking bother?

This is a question I’ve asked myself more than a few times recently.

Why do I bother posting stuff on here?

Why do I bother filming and editing these YouTube vids?

Why do I bother building these businesses?

Why do I bother trying so hard?

Because what else am I going to do? Seriously, there’s no other option than continuing to move forward.

Sometimes it seems like I’m making absolutely no headway or impact, and then I just remind myself. No one cares, just work harder!

New YouTube vid coming shortly!
