I swear those were the fastest 5 hours to ever pass! @prettyboiflash_ and I held it down with the Plinko game (the line was out the door, of people waiting to play lol), sharing product knowledge and making sales. When there was finally a lull, I checked out the other booths and I came to the conclusion that @hueaffair just gets better and better each year. So many hair brands but also handbags, kitchen sauces, feminine care products, artists, handmade jewelry and more! I had to be selective about what I purchased to avoid going broke lol but I'm definitely gonna check out the websites of the places I didn't buy from for gifts later on. Oh, and the swag bag? stuffed. My arms hurt from dragging it all home. Thanks @patternbeauty @hueaffair @iamsabrinaboissiere

The energy lives within these photos. The moments captured at @society18 BHM x Content Creator Event were real, aligned, and unforgettable. The connections I made felt mirrored; authentic and intentional.

Thank you for curating such a beautiful space for creators in every aspect. 🩵 The room felt like community, like family.

POV: When me, myself and I attend an event together 😅

I’m an extrovert and all but it’s still nerve racking as heck! All the intrusive thoughts start flooding my brain, ready to self sabotage but I show up anyway!

Thoughts like… “do I deserve to be in these spaces?”, “do I look the part?”, “am I gonna say the wrong thing?”, “wth do I even say?”

TBH it doesn’t get any easier because you never truly know what you’re walking into, but then you start meeting people and they’re genuinely interested in getting to know you + vice versa. It never fails, even when or if it’s just 1 person.

Every year fashion week would happen and I’d see all the event recaps and wish I was in those spaces! Last year, 2025 I messaged all my creator friends and asked if anyone knew of events I could attend and they started forwarding me invites. I RSVP’d to EVERY 👏🏾 SINGLE 👏🏾 ONE 👏🏾 and showed uppppp! I was nervous, I didn’t know what to wear, but I just wanted to be in the spaces! I still want to be in these spaces, I want become a mover and shaker in these spaces, I want to add value to these spaces, these spaces feel like home. There’s something about seeing others show up for themselves, connecting with them and witnessing their journeys! It’s beautiful, I love creativity and I’m suddenly realizing that the joy in creating is birthing tangible vision.

So yeah… I had the honor of attending @society18 BHM NYFW event and my hearts so full! I made new friends (I didn’t get photos with them all).

Oh and it was really dope connecting with @pamelazapata , I’m trusting the process!
