A dance film I directed and choreographed, brought to life in partnership with @stepsonbroadway—our creative home to play, create, and tell stories here in NYC. We had 10.5 hours of rehearsal before filming this. Created for the Steps Professional Performance Workshop.

I don’t know you @raye but your music knows all of us. Thank you for your gift of songs “Lifeboat” and “Joy” used for educational experiences.

I had many muses along the way: my incredible team, this beautiful cast, and our videographer, editor, and visual storytelling partner, @liamsayywhaat🎥

This one is for all of us when we find ourselves in the dark…

Who are your lifeboats? ❤️

Thank you to @lanterijoe for having me and supporting this work.

JOY: A strong feeling of great happiness, pleasure, or gladness. It can also mean person or thing that cause this good feeling. That definition pretty much sums up what last night felt. I have learned so much from this process as a performer and a person. When you have somebody like Chryssie and Marissa, they’re such both bright lights and want the best for you. It’s very easy to feel that sense of joy. Thank you, Chryssie for giving me this opportunity to dance to your choreography. I’m so grateful to have you in my life as a friend and a teacher. Thank you for constantly wrapping me and others and in your love (Quite literally). I want to thank my amazing cast for bringing the fun and excitement to this story. Last night was a total fever dream, but one of the best nights that I’ve had in a really long time I have loved this experience, but loved the people even more. 🌻💛

Different Kind of Girl
.
I choreographed and directed a multimedia, Maggie Rogers medley, 12 minute, full company finale for @womaninmotion_danceco 5th NYC season. Here are snippets. It premiered June 13-15, 2026 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater on 9th Avenue. It was a labor of love and all seems like a blur now. Choosing only a few Maggie songs to include in the mix was the hardest part. I ultimately arrived at 5 that felt right for the moment and the piece culminated in “Different Kind of World.” A vision of a world of decency and community where peace isn’t impossible, filled with different kind of girls who don’t follow all of society’s rules but pave their own paths and futures, together.
.
Extra special thank you to @rachelthalman and @yuzzz12 , co-founders and directors of Woman in Motion. They dream big and make it happen with immeasurable behind the scenes work and care. And of course, to Maggie. Thanks for your epic tunes and honesty. You get us DANCING from the part of us that is uninhibited and it creates ripples of healing and acceptance.
