I am SO excited to announce that I will be selling my first ever Sourdough Recipe book! I have had the pleasure of teaching so many people how to make their own sourdough bread and other sourdough recipes, and have been working on compiling all of my favorite go-to recipes in a digital book so that you can all join me in baking these delicious sourdough goods!  If you or a friend are interested in baking your own sourdough, get your copy!  *you do NOT have to live in AZ to be able to purchase! #microbakery #sourdough #recipebook #cottagebakery #phoenixbakery #scottsdalebakery #azeats #sourdoughrecipes #sahm

SOURDOUGH TORTILLAS! (I doubled the recipe to make 24 small tortillas) Recipe: makes ~8-12 depending on how big you want them -1/2 stick of melted butter (~56g) -200g flour -85g warm water -125g sourdough starter -7g salt 1. Mix all of the ingredients in a large bowl 2. Cover and let rest for 30 min 3. Divide dough into ~8-12 pieces (depending on how big you want them) and roll them into balls —heat pan/skillet on medium/medium high heat before rolling out dough— 4. Sprinkle surface with flour and roll out dough into very thin (almost see through) circles 5. Place on skillet and flip after bubbles form (~1 min) then take off skillet after ~30 sec #sourdough #tortillas #homemadetortillas #microbakery #sourdoughbakery #cottagebakery #azeats #sahm

My go-to pot roast recipe that is THE perfect sourdough bread pairing— everyone needs to go make this this week!!! So simple and delicious every time! I seriously make this at least once a week and we never get tired of it! I’ve had a few people ask for the recipe so I thought I’d share! Can’t wait for you to try it and have your house smell so yummy and cozy! 😌 Recipe: serves two of us for 2-3 meals each! -2.5-3lbs chuck roast -~5 carrots, peeled and chopped -~3-4 gold potatoes or equivalent amount of other potatoes, chopped -1 yellow onion, chopped -8 garlic cloves, minced -1 container beef bone broth (or other broth) -1 cup red wine OR 1 can beer (optional) -Seasonings I use: salt, oregano, thyme, apple balsamic vinegar Directions: Mince garlic, chop onions/potatoes/carrots and set aside. Salt roast on both sides (generously) and chop into cubes. Preheat oven to 300 deg. Heat Dutch oven on medium-high heat then add avocado oil and brown meat, then take out and set aside. Add onions and a splash of bone broth to keep it from burning/sticking to the bottom. Once onions brown then add garlic and mix until fragrant. Add meat back in + carrots and potatoes. Add wine, bone broth, balsamic (if using) and any other seasoning (I do a few pinches of salt, lots of oregano and thyme) then mix and allow to come to a boil. Put Dutch oven lid on and place in oven for 3 hours. Enjoy! (W/ SOURDOUGH BREAD OF COURSE) #potroast #recipe #simplerecipe #microbakery #sourdough #azeats #northphoenix #sahm #ditl #cooking

Parenthood has taught me to learn to slow down. It’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life but there is so much sweetness when you rest and take a step back. Funny enough, making sourdough has also been a reminder of this—that dough needs to rest in order to rise 🍞 God calls us to rest, just as He did when He created the world ❤️ Not sure who else needs to hear this but let’s all slow down together 😌

LET’S TALK LEAKAGE! 💦 Cough, jump rope, laugh, sneeze, exercise, and pee yourself during?? Good news is…YOU’RE NOT ALONE! Nobody likes to experience leakage, especially in social situations where you feel like you need to be near a bathroom at all given moments 🫠 There are several different types of urinary incontinence and you can have a mix of them as well. These issues can arise from poor muscular strength, neuromuscular dysfunction, biopsychosocial factors, lots of reasons! When we talk about the role of the pelvic floor in leakage/incontinence, it’s usually caused by weakness of the pelvic floor muscles. However, we need to be careful how we go about treating the weakness. If the muscles are weak and tight, but overactive, performing kegels again and again is not the answer and can actually make the issue worse. What we would want to do instead, is to relax + release those muscles first and then retrain them properly. If the muscles are weak and lengthened, then we need to train the pelvic floor muscles how to activate via neuromuscular reeducation and start with the basics. Leakage is not fun, let’s address yours! DM me if you’re interested in resolving your incontinence! 👏🏽 . . . . #incontinence #leakage #pelvicfloorpt #womenshealthpt #urinaryincontinence #scottsdalept

“Mommy Wrist” Suffering from wrist pain postpartum or wanting to prevent it?! I gotchu! I’ve treated a lot of mom’s who complain about wrist pain postpartum— Think about it, you’re performing VERY repetitive activities like lifting baby up and out of a bassinet or crib, rocking them to sleep, breast feeding, carrying them around, putting car seat in and out of car, etc etc. All of those repetitive movements, if performed with poor mechanics OR if you lack the proper strength and support in your wrist and shoulders can lead to pain aka “mommy wrist”. The best thing you can do is go bulletproof your wrists and rotator cuffs while you’re pregnant so that once you have your baby, you’re good to go! Here are a few of my favorites: 1️⃣ Wrist extension 2️⃣ Wrist flexion 3️⃣ Wrist supination/pronation 4️⃣ Wrist radial and ulnar deviation 5️⃣ Bottoms up KB carry Performing these frequently will help strengthen your wrists, forearms, and rotator cuffs, which are all important for preventing wrist injury! Hope this helps! #postpartumexercise #pregnancyexercises #mommywrist #wristpain #scottsdalept #womenshealthpt
