We recently hosted our second 2026 Young Professionals Conference — “Built for This: Thriving in Uncertain Times!” Attendees left feeling empowered and confident to take on challenges, embrace opportunities, and lead with resilience in an constantly changing world. 💪✨

We’re proud to invest in the next generation of leaders and create spaces where young professionals can connect, grow, and discover that they truly are built for this.

Thank you to everyone who spoke, attended, facilitated, and thank you to the alumni board for making this happen.

“Hallelujah, now I’m free. Jesus lives, He’s surely alive in me.” Happy Resurrection Sunday! ✝️💕 #LongPost

My one-year anniversary at Love Alive Church fell on Easter this year. For the first time ever, I didn’t go home to Monroe on Easter, and although I miss my family this holiday, I’m so thankful that I’ve found family here in this place. 💛

When I first moved to Baton Rouge, it took me a while to find my church home. I visited many places and stayed connected, but I knew what I was looking for and what I NEEDED, But it wasn’t until I walked into LAC that I truly felt a breath of fresh air—like, “finally, this is it.” I felt peace. I came that day and never left.

After Bible college and years of doing ministry in my previous church home, I couldn’t just join any place. I had to be somewhere where I could see intentional vision, sound teaching, freedom in worship, community and Pastors that are full of wisdom, integrity and the anointing shout-out to Pastor @ronaldohardy and @cristian_hardy! I wanted a place where I could serve, be poured into and continue to serve in the ministry that God has called me to. And that’s Love Alive Church.

I always say I wish I had found this church as soon as I moved to BR, but the Lord’s timing is perfect. I’m so, so grateful to serve and to have found my village in this place. God is so, so good 🫶🏾

We’re honored to welcome an incredible group of leaders, new and returning who will help guide our mission to make mental health more accessible, creative, and community-centered.

Together, they bring expertise in public health, education, communications, arts, equity, and community healing. Most importantly, they share our belief that no one should ever have to feel alone.

Returning Board Members:
Interim President Jonathan Smith is a strategist, community advocate, and longtime supporter of creative mental health work; Treasurer Tisha White, CMA is a nonprofit finance leader and mental-health champion; and Shiloh Langlois is a Counselor (PLPC) and Art Therapist (ATR-P), community leader and advocate whose therapeutic approach blends modalities and uses creativity as powerful tools for healing.

New Board Members:
These leaders join us with deep commitments to justice, storytelling, public health, creativity, and community empowerment.

Eternity Honore is a Baton Rouge native, communications professional, and mixed-media artist using creativity as a tool for change. She brings a passion for justice, access, and creative expression across Louisiana.

DeQuinten Glenn is a dedicated educator from Mansfield, LA, and champion for youth.

Daisha Bonhomme, MS is a strategic public health leader with more than a decade of experience advancing health equity across the US. Her work centers grassroots partnership, systems change, and amplifying community voice.

Miranda "Mandy" Gabriel is a powerhouse in communications, organizational strategy, and entrepreneurship.

Charlie Champagne is a communications leader and creative force in Baton Rouge’s arts and nonprofit sectors. They are also the founder of Leur Maison, a nonprofit uplifting LGBTQIA+ artists and creators.

Together, we will continue building the creative, compassionate, and connected mental-health community Louisiana deserves.
