POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One full year of Fernhill Realty in Birmingham.

A year ago, Fernhill opened its doors in Birmingham with a small group of people and a pretty simple hope: to build a thoughtful brokerage centered around people, relationships, and really great hospitality.

Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of serving families, friends, investors, and neighbors throughout the Birmingham area. We’ve welcomed some incredible people into our office, built relationships we’re deeply grateful for, and watched this little community begin to take on a life of its own.

We’ve grown, but we’ve intentionally stayed small. And just like our Fernhill family in the Shoals, we’ve already reached the point where our first office can no longer quite hold us.

So, one year in, Fernhill Birmingham has purchased a new home… more on that soon.

But the buildings were never the point.

We wanted to create a place where agents could be known, supported, and challenged to do meaningful work, and where our clients could feel genuinely cared for through some of life’s biggest transitions.

That is happening in Birmingham. It is happening in the Shoals. And getting to watch these two communities grow alongside one another has been one of the great joys of our first year.

Our vision remains the same: awakening the possibility of a world where everyone feels at home.

Thank you for an amazing year. We’re incredibly grateful to be here.

We are so excited to introduce you to the newest member of the Fernhill Birmingham office, Shanalee Dombrosky.

@itsmeshanalee has called Hoover home for nearly two decades, has lived in Ross Bridge since 2008, and has had a front-row seat to the growth and change of the Birmingham community she loves.

But it was her story and the way she cares for people that first caught our attention.

Before real estate, Shanalee was a pediatric oncology nurse. That work taught her to listen well, communicate clearly, stay steady when things get complicated, and understand that the person in front of you always matters more than the transaction.

Those values followed her into real estate.

When @mattgolleyteam first met Shanalee, it quickly became clear that their visions aligned. At Fernhill, our vision is: “awakening the possibilities of a world where everyone feels at home.” For Shanalee, real estate is about much more than houses. It’s about people, families, transitions, and helping someone feel cared for through all of it.

That feels a whole lot like Fernhill.

We’re grateful Shanalee has chosen to bring her experience, kindness, and love for Birmingham to our office, and we’re excited to see the stories she gets to be part of here.

Help us give Shanalee a warm Fernhill welcome. We’re so glad you’re here.

📍 2008 Chalybe Way | Hoover, AL 35226

Located in Ross Bridge in Hoover, this full-brick home offers true main-level living with no steps to the front door, a main-level garage, and a flat, fenced backyard—features that are increasingly hard to find at this price point. A new roof and recently painted exterior trim provide immediate peace of mind. Inside, the layout is designed for both everyday function and flexibility, with a primary suite and laundry on the main. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a full bath, ideal for children, guests, or multigenerational living. Ross Bridge is known for its walkable design, extensive trail system, parks, multiple pools, and a village center with dining and daily conveniences. Community events throughout the year add to its appeal. With its combination of low-maintenance construction, functional layout, and access to one of Hoover’s most established communities—plus convenient proximity to UAB Medical West, shopping, and dining—this home stands out as a strong value in today’s market.
