I’m not sure we ever fully arrive… arrive at some magical place of “I made it” Rather, I believe we are always in a state of growing and becoming. I also believe all the past versions of me have gotten me to where I am today… and yup, you guessed it, the version of me now will get to me wherever I’m going next. How exciting and exhilarating is that? Every opportunity, every lesson, every season, every mistake, and every version of myself has played a part in shaping the woman I am today. I’m so grateful for the experiences that challenged me, the doors that opened and closed, the people who believed in me, and even the moments that pushed me to grow. Nothing was wasted. Every step has led me here, and I wouldn’t change a thing. 🫶🏼 Becoming her isn’t about starting over. It’s about honoring every version of you that got you here. 🤍

A few observations from recent portfolio company visits, brand launches, an investor meeting, and conversations with founders… 🤓🧡💰 #investor #venturecapital #womeninspiringwomen #femalefounded The @francesvalentine × Mary Tyler Moore collection connects a brand with an icon whose style and spirit are naturally aligned. 🧡🤎❤️ From an investor’s perspective, that connection matters. A thoughtful collaboration can deepen a brand’s identity while giving new customers a meaningful reason to discover it. Seeing @meetnori at Target (again!) was a proud moment! 🎯🩵🎉 It also reinforced something I think about often as an investor: distribution creates opportunity, but customers determine what happens next. The real work is turning shelf space into sustained demand. This recent quote from @alliwebb caught my attention… 💸🤔💭 Capital doesn’t fix the fundamentals. It amplifies them. Alli’s observation is a reminder that more money can accelerate both what’s working and what isn’t. Last week, we hosted an investor meeting that was a deep into our portfolio performance… 📈📊💻 One lesson from reviewing our portfolio: staying close to a business matters. Board involvement creates opportunities to ask better questions, understand difficult decisions, and support founders through them. Writing the check is just the beginning of the relationship. One thing I’m watching closely across consumer brands: whether growth is improving the economics of the business… ⬆️❓🤨 Are margins strengthening? Are expenses growing more slowly than revenue? The most compelling progress is when a company gets bigger and becomes a better business along the way.
