New episode 🎙️ We got Nathan Renner-Johnson and Sasha Jin Schwartz to break down what actually makes a theater set happen. Nathan runs Philadelphia Scenic Works, the nation’s first nonprofit scene shop, essentially a shared resource pool so theaters don’t literally dumpster their sets after one run. Sasha’s a freelance set designer who once toured a show with every actor’s costume packed into their own suitcase to dodge shipping costs. Also, Nathan showed up with a gift bag of mini espresso martinis mid-recording, so this one ranks up there in terms of recording session fun. 🍸🎭

Staff trip to the Hairport! We got to do a little bit of work for this massive project and just had to see the rest for ourselves. It's so much fun with so many little details and surprises you got to check it out for yourself!

What. A. Night.
@michaelhullnyc and @chrissandersvoice have created a life filled with love, and that love was palpable last night. Every human in that room loves you so much, and it was so special to be able to celebrate you. The speeches and stories told said so much about the relationships you have created and fostered. I’m so grateful to be a part of your journey. I love you both, and there was no way I was not going to be there. ❤️🪩🍾

Recovery resumes today.
Thank you to everyone who found me seats, helped me up and down the stairs, got me food or drinks, and just looked out for me. 💕

It was an honor presenting at The Philadelphia Independence Awards last night on behalf of Paper Doll Ensemble. So much fun celebrating the incredible talent in our region's high school community!

This week (WICKED WEEK) I’ve been meeting with members of the theatre community and hearing ideas and current positions. I really want to know what the community expects of @theatrephiladelphia what we should consider and the pathways forward. Great chat with @itsnaterj (PSW) @leighalice (Wilma) and @gamer.x.empire (PVCC) with more on the way. And yes I AM WEARING A @jwijames #Citywide HAT! #EDintheWild
