A magical moment we wanted to share with you about longest resident Zeus. He’s in foster care this week looking for his forever happy ending. One person just has to see his beautiful energy. We love him so very much.

Zeus is getting a much needed break from shelter life.

🚨 BROWARD ANIMAL CARE, FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA-🥺🐶 Long-Stay Senior “Zeus” #A1912983 is Looking for His Forever Home! 🐶🥺🚨🚨

Meet Zeus! (A1912983)
9-Years-Old | 53 Pounds

Zeus (AKA “Zeus 4”) came to us in March this year as a stray. One person saw Zeus’ story online and came to adopt him in July. Sadly, after two weeks, he and the adopter’s two smaller dogs did not get along, so they made the decision to return him. This sweet, old man has been waiting here ever since, losing hope…

Zeus is a super smart and friendly boy. He knows all his commands like a pro, is housebroken, and has done very well with other dogs here at the shelter in multiple play group sessions. The stress of staying here and being kenneled for so long is clearly affecting the poor guy - he has been getting more stressed in general but still puts on a brave face for everyone he meets.

Zeus is also sponsored by The Pet Project! The Unforgotten Paws Program is a Pet Project initiative dedicated to shelter dogs like him who have been overlooked for far too long. The Pet Project will provide food, supplies, and wellness care for Zeus’ lifetime and can facilitate reduced cost vet care and ongoing support ensuring that he is cared for for life. Please consider making Zeus a part of your family because no dog should be forgotten!

Please think about these longer stay seniors, especially our boy Zeus❤️
