I felt so welcomed by the organizers. They treated us like real queens💞

And being able to do this with my lovely @drag_lab sisters was amazing🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

“Capitalism cannot survive collectivism.” - Be Better Broken, Yaffa

How do we build systems of care that can support our communities and the work of building liberated futures? How can we care for each other do that out of tiny bits of freedom emerges community?

We are very happy to host @yaffasutopia this Monday the 26th at @malazerin_wien .
Palestinian author, organizer, and culture worker Mx. Yaffa has worked in many projects to support the most marginalized among the marginalized, drawing from their own experience as a trans autistic Muslim person.

On 26. October 18:00 (soft arrival), Yaffa will give us an idea of RADICAL CARE WORK, exploring caring for our own communities as we care for communities severely impacted by genocide, the climate catastrophe, and other atrocities. Together, we’ll explore mutual aid, resource redistribution, decolonization, and collective practices of care, asking what frameworks we can establish today that embody the liberated futures we’re fighting for.

This is an invitation to reflect on how to consider care as not an individual act, but as a collective practice and a foundation for liberation.

The event will be in English. There will be soft drinks and (vegan) snacks. We will collect donations that will go in equal parts to Mala Zêrîn and Yaffa’s projects. Accessibility: The room is on the ground floor of the building, but there are a few steps. If you need assistance, please get in touch, we can find a solution!

Accessibility at our Pride show on September 26th 🩷

As a disabled drag collective, it is our top priority to make our event as accessible as possible. At our show at Simmeringer Glaubenskirche, there will be the following accessibility aids for the audience:

1. Wheelchair ramp
The church has barrier-free access. The space inside the church is a bit small, so we kindly ask for a quick message so we can estimate how many wheelchair users are coming.

2. ÖGS sign language interpreter
There will be sign language interpreting in ÖGS (Austrian sign language). Please note that this means that the show needs to be moderated in German.

3. Accessible toilet (without motion sensor)
The church has a barrier-free toilet for wheelchair users.

4. Stim toys
We will provide a box with various stim toys for each person who needs them.

5. FFP2 masks
We ask you to bring your own FFP2 masks with you if possible and to come tested for COVID. For anyone who still needs one, we will of course provide masks. We ask you to not come if you feel sick and, if possible, to put the mask on in the church.

6. Earplugs

7. Open seating
Please remember that we cannot fully control how many people ultimately come. We ask you to show solidarity and leave space, especially for people with impaired mobility.

8. Sweets & salty treats
For all people with diabetes, POTS or other conditions, we always have something sweet and salty ready for you.

9. Awareness team
If you have any concerns, feel unw
