Two years of searching. On the second attempt with the right team, they found it. MiDi is the complete renovation of a spacious apartment on Sant Medir Street in Barcelona's Sants neighbourhood, inside a listed building from the early 1900s. Miguel and Diana had been looking alone for two years before turning to a search service that found this one on the second try. The apartment's original floors and vaulted ceilings in the living room were restored and made the priority of the entire renovation, the soul of the building preserved as the foundation on which everything new was built. Structural shoring removed barriers and made room for a large kitchen bar, the natural epicentre of the home for family breakfasts and evenings with friends. A project measured not in square metres but in the two years it took to find the right canvas. 📐 @itsnotastudio + @marba.artquitectura 📷 @itsnotastudio #barcelonainteriors #apartmentrenovation #spanishinteriors #interiordesign #historicapartment

36 m², one family, five metres of sky inside. In Sarrià’s historic Monterols Street, a tiny apartment that stayed in the same family for generations is reborn as a loft where height, history and colour take the lead. Walls come down to release a single, soaring volume. The original beams and pillars are no longer hidden; they become the main event, dressed in blue, green and yellow so the structure itself reads like a painting. What was once dark, divided and cramped turns into a fluid, optimistic home that still feels rooted in its past. This is proof that square metres don’t limit greatness when you have legacy, light and chromatic courage. Arquitectura registrada a otra velocidad.
