a wave of adrenaline, a graze of arms.
a walk back to home, the first letter of my name engraved on your palm.

a collision never mentioned, lost its way in time.
your eyes caught themselves staring, my pen started to rhyme.

a tale that narrated fate, tied us by an invisible thread.
a summer you turned pretty, a summer I turned red.

a heart that never stopped loving, and
a heart that was never adored.
a fall that stole all my winters,
a summer called "you" that held all the rains I poured.

a long awaited meeting, impatience at its finest
a breath that hitched at how carefully you dressed.
a soft grip of your hands conversing with my fingers,
those longing eyes spoke everything, that first touch still lingers.

a morning short lived, a quite rosy noon
an evening that was nowhere to be found,
a day that passed, way too soon.

a heart that once stopped beating, came to life from dead.
a lonely walk back to my room,
our conversations kept playing in my head.

I looked down slowly and found evening sitting at my doorstep
the sun is nowhere to be found, evening yelled.
pale and cold, it explained to me the responsibilities of the day
"Whom did you meet?" teasingly it said,
a smile graced my face,

I've been rather reclusive.
seclusion governs my life
they've thrown daggers in my way
and still I feel apologetic for carrying a knife
You think you know me? Welcome to the show.
I can carry mountains on my shoulders
but my smile won't let you know.

I talk alot, but can't express the hurt out aloud
So, I turned to the poets
and made them pen the sound
Verse by verse, you can hear the vowels shout

"forgiveness isn't a second chance", they say.
Not all promises are fulfilled out of love
some are unwillingly obeyed.
I've now been a shining armour,
but twice, I was the prey.

I enjoy the darkness,
oblivion attracts me to the core
still my heart is buried in a place
where the sun meets the shore.
I tend to care a lot and
I still need to learn how to put myself before,
People usually say "I love you"
but 𝐼'𝑚 𝑠𝑢𝑐ℎ 𝑎 "𝐼 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒".

I've seen love,
and at the same time
stayed abandoned from it too.
I've been burnt daily,
but didn't let my scars turn blue

Now, I stand at a place
where the sun refuses to rise
Blankets no longer protect me from the cold,

So, will you melt me in your eyes?

Guilt is a useless feeling, it's never to make you change direction , only enough to make you useless - Daniel Nayeri

It's something that originates from the expectations, societal boundations and the never ending feeling of being kind to everyone.

What do you do with the guilt that comes when you can't be that perfect person ?

When you can't be the child your parents manifested?
The guilt that comes for not trying enough to make that one person stay?

The guilt of ghosting your friends when you don't have the mental capacity to talk , of fighting for your own happiness or the guilt of being selfish for yourself?

What do you do with this unnecessary feeling that comes when you can't be with other people as you're fighting your own battle?

What if I just did the opposite ? Will this guilt leave me? Will my own self forgive me for living this life for others at the cost of my own happiness?

Which one is worse?
Being chained by the guilt that comes when you live the way you want to or sidelining yourself for others?

Maybe we can balance this out by remembering the times when we were there for people , when we did stand on their expectations, when we acted according to the wants of the society......and vice versa when others did the same for us.....to think that something matters to them even if we have to compromise with ourselves to some extent.

the first time I saw you
I was oblivious of the fact that we'll be this close
but guess what,
he— the creator already knew
you walked into my life like it's yours since time
a sunflower in yards of chrysanthemums
a poetry was about to be rhymed
unaware of the fate
you slid through my heart
visited places I kept hidden in fear of the world tearing it in parts
You touched those.
I so damn wish you wouldn't have thrown the right dart
everything was so in sync
the blossoming of a flower after a storm
the meeting of dusk and dawn
an incredible fiction depicting
adoration in its purest form

Meeting you felt like,
looking at a painter's work of art
it felt like the beginning of how the plot starts.

My scars left
no bitterness to remember.

Drowning,
Gasping
Eyes still
Numb lips
